One to Watch: Lukasz Fabianski

The Pole has been West Ham’s standout player so far this season, and they will need another big performance from their No 1 on Saturday. Not many would have had the Hammers and Fabianski down to keep a clean sheet in their Premier League predictions for last Sunday’s game against Chelsea and the visit of United will provide another stern test for West Ham’s defensive quality. A second consecutive clean sheet for Pellegrini’s team is 4/1 with BetBright.

Winston Reid, Manuel Lanzini and Andy Carroll are long-term casualties for West Ham United, while Jack Wilshere remains sidelined. Marko Arnautovic missed out last week through injury, and that forced West Ham into a change, with Michail Antonio stepping in. If Arnautovic is fit enough, he could return to the starting XI.

Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones are injured, but Jose Mourinho has the rest of his squad available. There are increasing calls for Diogo Dalot, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial to start in place of off-form trio Antonio Valencia, Alexis Sanchez and Jesse Lingard.

West Ham vs Manchester United Betting Tips, Preview & Predictions

Will West Ham make it three unbeaten this weekend?

Ten places separate these teams in the table, but this Premier League preview points to a much-closer game than that suggests. The sides involved need wins for different reasons, and both will be backing themselves to take the points.

West Ham suffered a disastrous start to the new season with four defeats from four, but a recent win against Everton and a well-earned draw with Chelsea have lifted the mood. Looking to remain unbeaten for a third straight league game, a victory over Manchester United would complete a swing in momentum and confidence. Questions have been asked of Manuel Pellegirni following his side’s poor run of form, but a win at home in Saturday’s early kick-off may make a few of his doubters change their minds. A home triumph is 7/2 with bet365.

Any slip-up from Jose Mourinho’s side, meanwhile, is magnified and it appears that the football world is just waiting for next one, which will inevitably produce a new headline story. Recent form has picked up, with two wins and a draw from their last three top flight games, but with that said the fallen Premier League champions are already eight points off the pace – and for a club the size of United, that simply isn’t good enough. Still, many will be backing the Red Devils to win in their Premier League predictions and they start as favourites at 8/11.

Neither team are offering guarantees at the minute, making football predictions for this clash at London Stadium difficult. The draw looks a good possibility, though, and it’s priced at 11/4.

Romelu Lukaku is favourite to open the scoring at 7/2, with teammates Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial following closely behind at 5/1 and 6/1 respectively. For West Ham, it’s Javier Hernandez and Marko Arnautovic who are best placed to find the first goal at 15/2.

Predicted Score: West Ham 1 - 1 Manchester United
