Away Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace

Match Summary

1 Look out for:

Over 2.5 goals at 11/10 is one of our football predictions for today. Both sides have had overs in most of their recent games, and at just a little over even money, it looks great value.

2 We fancy:

The draw at 9/4. Palace have had a lot of draws against bottom-half clubs and tend to avoid defeat against them also. Watford’s home form is also strong of late, so the draw looks the likeliest outcome.

3 It's a long shot, but…

A 2-2 scoreline at 15/1 is our football score prediction here. The last time Watford hosted a bottom-half side, they drew 2-2 with Bournemouth, and given we fancy goals and over 2.5 of them, this scoreline looks a good bet.

Watford vs Crystal Palace Betting Tips, Preview & Predictions

Will Richarlison make a timely return to form against Palace this weekend?

In this Premier League preview, we will be looking at the league clash between Watford and Crystal Palace.

Watford’s season seems to be spiralling towards a disappointing end as they are without a win in five league games, losing four of those and drawing one. They sit in 12th place and are not in danger of relegation but will want to end this poor run and finish the season strongly.

Crystal Palace sit in 16th, six points clear of Southampton but have played a game extra. They have picked up four points in their last two matches, however, and will be confident of picking up more spoils in this game against Javi Gracia’s side.

Palace have just one win in their last six league games on the road and have just three away victories all season. Since Roy Hodgson has arrived, the South Londoners’ fortunes have improved and have lost just three of their last eight away games and have scored in nine such matches. On this evidence, Palace at 8/5 make up one of our free football betting tips for this game.

Watford have lost four of their last five games and were beaten 2-1 in their last match at Vicarage Road. That defeat ended a run of five home games without a loss at home and have scored in 12 such encounters consecutively. Both teams to score at 16/19 represents the fact goals are expected from the two sides here, and it’s another of our football predictions here.

Palace’s record against bottom-half clubs in the league makes for good reading, unbeaten in 12 games. They did draw seven of those games however, and given Watford are good at home, the draw at 9/4 is one of our Premier League predictions and looks really good value in this one.

Both sides have been involved in the goals recently, with over 2.5 goals resulting in four of the Hornets’ last five games and in five of Palace’s last six league games. Over 2.5 goals can be found at 11/10, which seems worth a punt in the circumstances and is another of our football predictions for this game.

Predicted Score: Watford 2 - 2 Crystal Palace
