In a sentence: There’s a rare 19.45 kick-off in the English top flight this weekend as Spurs welcome Man City, and we take a look at both teams in this Premier League preview.

Last time: Pep Guardiola’s team won comfortably at the Etihad. An early goal from Ilkay Gundogan set them on the way early on before adding three in the second half. Raheem Sterling helped himself to two goals, while Christian Eriksen grabbed a consolation for Spurs.

This time: Spurs are 7/5 for the win with Man City at 17/10 and the draw is 13/5.

You might remember: This fixture in September 2015 saw Spurs run out 4-1 winners. Despite falling behind to a Kevin De Bruyne goal, Tottenham responded with four goals in 45 minutes.

Betting Tips and Predictions

Harry Kane world cup predictions
Harry Kane is one of two of the league’s best forwards in this match – Sergio Aguero is the other

Spurs have consolidated a top four spot and currently sit 10 points clear of 5th place Chelsea. With Champions League football almost secured they will have an eye on catching those above. Mauricio Pochettino’s men have won six consecutive league games and are on a 14 match undefeated streak.

Their visitors on Saturday were the last side to beat them in the league back in December, but no one should rush to a repeat of that outcome in their football score predictions. Recent success at Wembley include wins over Arsenal and Manchester United while Chelsea remain the only side to win at the national stadium, way back in August. It is four consecutive home wins and four clean sheets in the process – Spurs are the league’s form team – including a home win at 7/5 in your Premier League predictions is certainly worth a serious look.

City to be the 2017-2018 Premier League champions remains a guaranteed football prediction. The Citizens are still 13 points clear but the last couple of weeks have been tough to take. Last weekend’s defeat to local rival Man Utd prevented them from securing the title and that loss was sandwiched in-between Champions League elimination at the hands of Liverpool.

It is hardly time to panic but Pep Guardiola will not want to suffer a fourth consecutive defeat. Recent league away form has been good, it is three wins on the spin and eight goals in the process. The Sky Blues will be out to prove a point but start this as second favourites. An away win is 17/20 and in a season where they have dominated the majority of the league, that represents good value.

Neither side have drawn many this season with City only playing out three stalemates all campaign. This game will be close and the form of both makes football predictions tough, a draw at 13/5 looks like one to take on.

These teams have two of the best hitmen in the game. With 45 league goals between them Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero are favourites to net the first goal at 10/3 and 5/1.

Match Summary

1

Look out for

The draw and over 2.5 goals at 8/1 is one of the free football betting tips that could be worth backing. Both teams are capable of scoring goals, both play an open expansive game and their two meetings in 2017 produced nine goals.

2

We fancy

At 11/2, the draw at half time and full time is one of the football betting tips for the weekend we really like the look of. This game is sure to be entertaining and they will push each other all the way.

Include a goal in both halves at 4/7 and it produces a very tempting double.

3

It’s a long shot, but

Correct football score predictions are hard to get right and 2-2 is 11/1. If the teams do produce four goals between them it is hard to bet against Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero being on the scoresheet. Include Kane and Aguero to score anytime and create a small accumulator at around 54/1.
