Match Summary

1 Look out for:

Danny Graham. The striker spent two fruitful years with Swansea from 2011 and was a real crowd favourite in the terraces. Graham struggled following his departure but has done well for Blackburn in the two-and-a-half-years he’s been at the club. The veteran will definitely start and is available at 5/2 to bag anytime.

One to Watch: Bradley Dack

The attacking midfielder joined the club last summer following Rovers’ relegation to League One. Dack made an instant impact in his debut season with the 1994-95 Premier League winners, racking up an astonishing 18 goals from 42 appearances and playing an instrumental role in helping Blackburn return to the Championship at the first time of asking.

The gifted 24-year-old already has eight goals and five assists to his name this term and this superb form has not gone unnoticed. Tottenham Hotspur, along with others, are reportedly monitoring the player and Dack will be the star attraction when Rovers travel to South Wales. The Greenwich native is 13/5 to net anytime and a popular figure in this instalment of Championship predictions.

This Championship preview begins with Swansea. The hosts have struggled for goals this term and are amongst the lower scorers in the division.

Boss Graham Potter experimented with three at the back in the 1-0 defeat against Aston Villa but is expected to revert to a more orthodox four man defence with Kyle Naughton coming back in. Tom Carroll is also pushing for a recall.

Visitors Blackburn are in buoyant mood after beating promotion hopefuls Leeds. The 2-1 loss for Marcelo Bielsa’s men was only their second of the league campaign and Tony Mowbray was understandably delighted with his players.

The well-travelled Rovers manager is likely to stick with the same side that took all three points with former Swans striker Danny Graham leading the line.

Swansea vs Blackburn Rovers Betting Tips, Preview & Predictions

Ollie McBurnie is one of Swansea’s bright hopes for promotion

After a bright start to the term, home side Swansea have faltered. The Jacks won their first two matches but have only picked up maximum points from two of the following 11 games. Potter’s squad is by and large an inexperienced one, and there are several areas that need reinforcing. The highly rated coach came into the club and saw three strikers, Jordan and Andrew Ayew, along with Borja Baston all leave following relegation and signing a forward or two in January could be the difference between survival and the drop. Visitors Blackburn sit just outside of the play-off places and continue to impress. The initial aim is to retain their Championship status but a top-half finish is more than realistic on current form.

Football predictions for this encounter highlight the Swans at 23/20 in what would be a vital victory. The hosts are in no immediate trouble and do have a seven-point cushion over the bottom three, but have struggled to show any adventure against the more fancied sides in the league and a similar performance is likely to yield another disappointing result.

Further football predictions show Blackburn at 12/5 to chalk up another win. Mowbray’s travelling party like to play, and will take the game to Swansea. Ominously for the hosts, Rovers also fare well on the road and have only lost once away from Ewood Park all campaign.

The draw is 9/4 and does have some value. Blackburn have no trouble through on goal but have shipped 16 at the other end, a figure greater than Swansea’s haul, suggesting Potter’s men will get chances.

McBurnie is the 9/2 favourite to open proceedings in this Championship preview. The burly Scot has been a real bright spark for the Swans and it promises to be a fascinating battle against international team-mate Charlie Mulgrew.

Adam Armstrong is 7/1 in the same first goalscorer market and is full of confidence. The youngster was singled out for special praise from Mowbray following the Leeds success and is a real threat from the wide areas.

Other football betting predictions include over 1.5 goals at 4/11 and Blackburn at 13/1 to win both halves of action.

Predicted Score: Swansea 1 - 2 Blackburn Rovers
