Match Summary

One to Watch: Eamonn Brophy

Eamonn Brophy joined Kilmarnock from Hamilton Academical in August 2017, and has impressed since making the move to Rugby Park.

Brophy netted seven Scottish Premiership goals for Kilmarnock last term, and has started this season in fine form, managing five goals in 11 appearances in all competitions.

The 22-year-old has four Scottish Premiership goals to his name during the 2018-19 campaign, and will fancy his chances of causing St Mirren problems this weekend.

Brophy is available at 6/1 in the first goalscorer market with 888sport, which is certainly worth considering as part of our Scottish Premiership predictions.

St Mirren boss Oran Kearney could make changes from the team that suffered a 4-1 defeat at Aberdeen before the international break.

Ian McShane and Cameron Smith are both pushing for starts, but Simeon Jackson should keep his position in the final third of the field.

Kilmarnock boss Steve Clarke has no fresh injury concerns from the team that started the 2-1 win at Dundee on October 6.

As a result, Eamonn Brophy and Greg Stewart are expected to continue in the final third, with Jordan Jones operating in a wide position.

St Mirren FC vs Kilmarnock Betting Tips, Preview & Predictions

St Mirren host Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday

Kilmarnock will be looking to make it four straight Scottish Premiership wins when they travel to St Mirren this weekend. Killie have collected 16 points from their eight fixtures this term to sit in fourth position in the table, just three points off the division leaders Hearts. It has been a different story for struggling St Mirren, however, with Oran Kearney’s team sitting down in 11th on four points. The Buddies have only won one Scottish Premiership match this term, and have lost each of their last three.

St Mirren are 10/3 as part of the best football betting tips for the weekend. As mentioned above in this Scottish Premiership preview, the Buddies have only won one league match this term, and just four points from eight matches has left them down in 11th position. Indeed, only Dundee have performed worse in the Scottish Premiership this term, but Kearney’s side are capable of big results having held the champions Celtic to a goalless draw at St Mirren Park in the middle of last month.

Kilmarnock are 17/20 to record what would be their fourth straight Scottish Premiership win. As mentioned above in this Scottish Premiership preview, Killie sit fourth in the division on 16 points, and are just three points off the summit. It will actually be the first time that Kilmarnock have travelled to St Mirren for a regular-season match since January 2015, and they ran out 2-1 winners in that particular game. It is also worth considering as part of our football predictions that Steve Clarke’s team have lost just once on their travels in the league this term.

The draw is available at 12/5 as part of the best football betting tips. There has not actually been a draw between these two teams since August 2013, with each of their last five regular-season Scottish Premiership matches bringing a winner. St Mirren did hold Celtic to a goalless draw last month, however, and are certainly capable of preventing Kilmarnock from collecting all three points this weekend.

Predicted Score: St Mirren FC 0 - 1 Kilmarnock
