07/04/2018 Kick Off:  3:00 pm Hillsborough V Predicted Score:1 - 2

Away Fulham

Match Summary

1 Look out for:

A goal for both teams. Since the start of last season, Fulham have featured in 54 matches where both teams scored, which is the most in the Championship. Wednesday have only played in five fewer such games, so both teams scoring appears to be on the cards here. A ‘yes’ bet is priced at 8/11, so make sure to include it in your both teams to score predictions.

2 We fancy:

Over 2.5 goals, at 8/11. Football predictions can be improved with a little research, and a look at the form guide shows that five of the Owls’ last six matches have featured at least three goals. With Fulham scoring at least twice in their last seven games, this looks a sensible bet.

3 It's a long shot, but…

Fulham to win 3/1 at 14/1. Football score predictions are always tough to get right, but three of Wednesday’s last four home defeats have seen the visitors score at least three goals. Similarly, Fulham have failed to keep a clean sheet in three of their last four victories on the road.

Team News

Sheffield Wednesday's Last Six:

Won: 3 Drawn: 1 Lost: 2

Jos Luhukay’s squad is beset with injury problems. Long-term absentees Sean Clare, Steven Fletcher and Gary Hooper will all be missing here.

Fulham's Last Six:

Won: 5 Drawn: 1 Lost: 0

Slavisa Jokanovic has no new injury concerns for this match, and with his side in such fine form, he is unlikely to make too many changes.

Sheffield Wednesday vs Fulham Betting Tips, Preview & Predictions

Aleksander Mitrovic has been superb since arriving at Fulham on loan, and he’s one of the likeliest candidates to open the scoring against Sheffield Wednesday

This is a Championship preview where the result looks reasonably easy to forecast. Football prediction can be aided by looking at recent results, and Fulham are the most in-form team in the division. There’s always money to be made even if the match result appears obvious though, so here are your football betting tips for the weekend.

Sheffield Wednesday are 7/2 for the victory, and they have won their last three matches. Two of them were on the road though, and they’ve only won one of their last four games at Hillsborough.

Fulham are available at 5/6, and they’re worthy favourites to claim the points. The Lilywhites are unbeaten in their last 18 Championship matches, and have won their last three away games.

The draw can be backed at 12/5. Preston are the only side who have drawn more Championship matches than Wednesday this season, but with both teams only drawing one of their last six games, it doesn’t feel like a stalemate is on the cards.

Lucas João is 9/1 to open the scoring, or 7/2 to add his name to the scoresheet at some point. The Portuguese forward is the Owls’ top scoring available player, and he has four goals in his last seven league games.

Aleksandar Mitrovic is the 5/4 favourite to score a goal, and with good reason. The Serbian has 10 goals in his last 10 matches for club and country, and is worth a look at 37/10 to bag the first goal of the game.

Championship predictions are often difficult to nail correctly, but it feels like the outcome here will be an away win.

Predicted Score: Sheffield Wednesday 1 - 2 Fulham
