Home FC Red Bull Salzburg

15/03/2018 Kick Off:  8:05 pm Red Bull Arena V Predicted Score:2 - 2

Away Borussia Dortmund

Match Summary

1 Look out for:

With the Austrian sides strong record in this competition and Dortmund’s struggles as of late, a home win and both teams to score at 4/1 looks like a football prediction too good to turn down.

2 We fancy:

Dortmund simply have to score two or more and there have been over 2.5 goals in all of Salzburg’s last three Europa League games. It is 13/8 for over 3.5 goals and with lots on the line that is a free football betting tip worth looking at.

3 It's a long shot, but…

The Black and Yellows to complete a brilliant turn-around. It is 55/1 for Dortmund to win 3-1 and Batshuayi to score anytime.

FC Red Bull Salzburg vs Borussia Dortmund Betting Tips, Preview & Predictions

Turning the Red Bull Arena into a fortress has helped Salzburg in Europe

This Europa League tie is as difficult as football predictions come. However, after recording a shock win last week it would be no surprise to see the Austrian side progress to the next round.

When looking through this Europa League preview, it becomes clear that another Salzburg win is a real possibility. Die Rotten Bullen have been formidable at The Red Bull Arena this season and are unbeaten in their last 32 matches in all competitions. The Austrian Bundesliga side are undefeated in their last 18 European matches and have only conceded once at home in the current Europa league campaign. Having already seen off the likes of Marseille and Real Sociedad, they are 2/1 to add Dortmund to the list. With all the stats in their favor, a home win is a football prediction to take seriously.

The signs look ominous for a Dortmund team that despite last week’s loss being their first in 2018 have been underwhelming in recent weeks.  The Bundesliga side have lost all six of the UEFA competition ties in which they lost the first leg at home. Having said that, with the attacking quality Peter Stoger’s side possess you simply cannot rule out them turning this around. On-loan Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi is in fine form and with the Belgian banging in the goals it makes football score predictions all the more difficult. The away side are 11/8 to win the game.

Salzburg are favourites to qualify at 1/3 while Dortmund are 9/4 after the first leg, the result of which no doubt caused a lot of Europa League predictions to change.

Munas Dabbur is top of Salzburg’s list to score the game’s first goal at 9/2. Two goal hero in Germany last week was Valon Berisha, he is 9/1 to break the deadlock again this second leg.

Michy “Batsman” Batshuayi is favourite for the game’s opening goal at 15/4. Team-mate Marco Reus is 15/2 while scorer in last Thursday’s game Andre Schurrle is 13/2.

Predicted Score: FC Red Bull Salzburg 2 - 2 Borussia Dortmund
