Match Summary

1 Look out for:

Ronaldo. The No.7 has led the charge as Real have got back to winning ways, with the Portuguese frontman scoring 10 goals in his last six league appearances for Zidane’s men.

His return to form will have to be maintained if Real are to salvage something from their season, and given his recent record he looks like doing just that. He is 4/9 to score two or more goals against Getafe.

2 We fancy:

Real look to be settling into a groove at the moment, even if it is coming at the wrong end of the season, but a strong finish looks to be in store for Los Blancos.

Given their recent form they should be comfortable against their city rivals, and a 3-0 home win is priced at 7/1.

3 It's a long shot, but…

Getafe are unlikely to get too much out of Real in this game, despite having a relatively strong season in the top flight. Manager Jose Bordalas will look to frustrate Real and hit them on he break through the pace of Angle and Remy, and expose their defensive uncertainty that has been an issue this season.

If Getafe can hold Real off, the home crowd will get restless and they will have a route to a positive result. A win may still be too much of a stretch, but a 1-1 draw is priced at 16/1.

Real Madrid CF's Last Six:

Won: 5 Lost: 1 Drawn: 0

Zidane has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the visit of Getafe to the Santiago Bernabeu.

However with the return leg of their Champions League clash with PSG a week away, he may look to rest certain players – meaning starts for Mateo Kovacic, Marco Asensio and Dani Ceballos.

Getafe CF's Last Six:

Won: 2 Lost: 1 Drawn: 3

Getafe will give a late fitness test to midfielder Gaku Shibasaki, who was withdrawn during their weekend defeat to Villarreal.

Former Newcastle and Chelsea striker Loic Remy could also start in place of the out of form Amath Diedhiou.

Real Madrid CF vs Getafe CF Betting Tips, Preview & Predictions

Real Madrid Ronaldo football

Real Madrid take on Getafe at the Bernabeu fully expecting to pick up the three points from this La Liga clash.

Real Madrid’s struggles have eased somewhat in recent weeks, with Zidane’s side picking up four La Liga wins ahead of the visit of Getafe.

However they came unstuck in midweek away to Espanyol, their second La Liga defeat in 2018.

The pressure on the Frenchman, and despite their chances of catching rivals Barcelona in the title race being almost zero, they simply cannot miss out on a top four finish.

Even with the spectre of Champions League football looming over them in the next fortnight, Real will want to keep their promising league run going. Although certain players may be rested for this game, they should win comfortably, and this is priced at 1/7 in the betting.

Goals have been a real feature of Real’s improved form, with 17 goals in their last four La Liga matches, as Ronaldo and co. have all gone up a gear.

Despite Getafe’s generally strong defensive record this season, they have stumbled in recent games – conceding four in their last two games and against an attack as potent as Real’s they could have a problem.

Real have scored scored over two goals in five of their last seven league matches, with Levante and Espanyol the only sides to shut them out, and they are 4/11 to win, with over 2.5 goals in the match in total.

Predicted Score: Real Madrid CF 3 - 0 Getafe CF
