In a sentence: A game that requires no introduction. The Old Firm derby is one of football’s classic fixtures.

Last time: Rangers and Celtic cancelled each other out as they played out a rare 0-0 draw in late December.

This time: Rangers are 5/2 for the win with Celtic at 1/1 and the draw is 13/5.

You might remember: Celtic running riot in their arch rival’s back yard as recently as April 2017. It was a memorable day for The Bhoys as they embarrassed their neighbours by recording a 5-1 win.

Betting Tips & Predictions

Ibrox will be rocking when Rangers host Celtic on Sunday

The Rangers players will need no motivation for this one. The importance of this game to the Gers will not be lost on any of Graeme Murty’s players, but they will have additional reasons to win this time around.

Sitting second in the league, a win on Sunday will see them move within three points of Celtic and heat up the race for the SPL title. Rangers are without a win in 90 minutes against the Hoops since 2012 and have seen Celtic win on their last four visits to Ibrox – stats that the home side will be desperate to change.

Off the back of six straight wins and with eight goals in their last two games, Rangers will be full of confidence and itching to get this game started. It is 5/2 for a home win.

Celtic will be looking to cement their status as champions-elect and collect another three points on enemy territory. A win would extend their gap over Rangers to seven points and squash any hopes their hosts might have of toppling them.

Brendon Rodgers’ side have stuttered in recent weeks, picking up four points from the last nine available. However, Celtic’s recent record against Rangers is excellent and they are 1/1 for a fifth consecutive away win in this fixture.

A draw the last time these two sides met, it is 13/5 for another stalemate.

Rangers top scorer Alfredo Morelos is 11/2 for the first goal while young Celtic striker Moussa Dembele is 15/4 to break the deadlock.

Match Summary

Look out for:

Jason Cummings, the Rangers forward, scored all four goals last time out against Falkirk and will be full of confidence as this game approaches. Cummings is 7/1 to score first, 9/4 to score anytime and 16/1 to score two or more.

We fancy:

The draw and both teams to score at 15/4. Neither side will want to lost this one but a win would be important for both, expect them to call it even in an intense game.

It’s a long shot, but:

Its eight goals for Rangers in their last two games and seven goals for Celtic in their previous two visit’s to Ibrox. After the 0-0 draw in December these sides owe the fans goals. It is 14-1 for the 2-2 draw or 50/1 for a draw and over 4.5 goals.
