    06/03/2018 Kick Off:  7:45 pm Deepdale V Predicted Score:1 - 0

    Away Bristol City

      Match Summary

      1 Look out for:

Sean Maguire announced his return to the side after a three month injury lay off with two late goals last weekend.

He is expected to start on Tuesday night, and given the confidence he must be feeling he could well get himself on the score sheet again and extend his goal tally of six for the season.

The Irish international is 11/2 to score first.

      2 We fancy:

Preston are aware that a win here will put them right in the middle of the play-off shake up, and they have proved their top six form at home this season.

They are rarely a high scoring side and a narrow win will do against Bristol City.

      A 1-0 win is at 6/1.

      3 It's a long shot, but…

Preston turned up the heat against Bolton in the second half last weekend, and with Maguire and Tom Barkhuizen looking like a strong partnership again they could give Bristol City a real beating.

For Preston to win and a total of 2.5 goals in this game, there is a tempting price 11/4 of available.

Preston North End vs Bristol City Betting Tips, Preview & Predictions

Preston don’t lose many at Deepdale but do they win enough?

Both sides are battling for a play-off spot, with Preston in 9th, and Bristol City in 6th, as things stand in the Championship.

Alex Neil’s side came from behind to beat Bolton 3-1 last weekend, and they have lost just once in their last ten Championship games.

Bristol City picked up a much needed win last weekend, 4-0 victory at home to Sheffield Wednesday, after a five game league run without a win for Johnson’s side.

Home advantage should give Preston a real edge here. as they have lost four games at home all season across all competitions, and they look ready for a late play-off run after missing out last season.

This should be a close game, but Preston should have enough to secure a three points and potentially drive on up to 7th in the table. A home win is priced at an interesting 13/10.

Preston have generally kept things very tight this season, particularly at home, being efficient than prolific, and their win last weekend was their only game that has reached a total of 2.5 goal scored. Expect this to also be a cagey affair, with an under 2.5 goals bet at 4/6.

Predicted Score: Preston North End 1 - 0 Bristol City
