Portugal vs Egypt Betting Tips, Preview & Predictions

In a sentence: With Mo Salah in the form of his life up against the always dangerous Cristiano Ronaldo, this is one fixture to keep an eye out for this week, especially in the football score predictions markets.

Last time: The last time these two sides faced off was back in 2005, when Portugal ran out 2-0 winners.

This time: Portugal are 7/10 to win, a draw is 5/2 and an away win is 17/2.

You might remember: There have only ever been three games between these two nations, with Portugal winning twice and the Egyptians winning once back in 1928.

Betting Tips & Predictions

Real Madrid Ronaldo football

Whether it’s Real Madrid or Portugal, Cristiano Ronaldo commands attention

This game may simply be just an international friendly, but with some of the players potentially on show, it could be one to watch out for if you want some goals to see. It’s not the most outlandish of football betting predictions to suggest attacks could overpower defences here.

Mo Salah is currently tearing the Premier League to shreds with Liverpool and it’s one of the more likely football predictions to say he’ll get himself on the scoresheet, and it’s 25/1 it comes in a 2-0 Egypt win.

Of course, you can never count out Portugal when they have the star man, the Balon D’or holder Cristiano Ronaldo as their talisman and most international friendly predictions are going to centre around the forward. He could inspire the current European champions to a 3-1 win, priced at 14/1. No international friendly preview would be complete without a mention of the Real Madrid star.

Judging by the odds Portugal are heavy favourites and in all honesty, rightly so. However, that does mean that Egypt will have longer odds for a win and a 1-0 surprise is at 11/1 for the African nation, whilst only being 11/2 for the same result for the Europeans. A 2-2 draw would be quite exciting, but at 18/1 it wouldn’t be the worst scoreline to put a pound or so on if you’re looking for some both teams to score predictions.

Predicted Score: Portugal 2 - 1 Egypt

Match Summary

Look out for:

Portugal could easily walk out of this fixture with a comprehensive win, and a 3-0 victory is priced at 12/1, making it one of the more interesting football score predictions for this match.

We fancy:

Both teams could easily score in this one, so a 2-1 Portugal win at 15/2 is quite likely given the form of both sides. As football betting tips for the weekend go, it’s one of the ones that catches the eye.

It's a long shot, but:

Could Mo Salah score four goals in two games in the space of a week? In the form he’s in, who knows but a 4-0 Egypt win is at 150/1, which would be incredibly entertaining.
