06/03/2018 Kick Off:  7:45 pm Carrow Road V Predicted Score:2 - 2

Away Nottingham Forest

Match Summary

1 Look out for:

The first goalscorer market has a lot of interesting value for this match. Aside from the forward options, Matthew Cash – who scored against Birmingham last time out – is at 12/1 for the away side, while Harrison Reed is at 17/1 for Norwich.

2 We fancy:

Correct score of 2-2 is available at 18/1. A lot of the signs point to a draw on Tuesday night, and neither team has exactly struggled for goals in recent weeks.

3 It's a long shot, but…

Norwich beat Nottingham Forest 5-1 in the corresponding Championship match last season. A repeat of that scoreline on Tuesday night can be backed as high as 125/1.

Team News

Norwich City's Last Six:

Won: 2 Drawn: 5 Lost: 0

Ivo Pinto is expected to come back into the Norwich XI on Tuesday night, while Wes Hoolahan could return to add more guile in the final third of the field.

Josh Murphy and Nelson Oliveira should both keep their positions, however, with on-loan Southampton midfielder Harrison Reed also featuring for the Canaries.

Nottingham Forest's Last Six:

Won: 2 Drawn: 2 Lost: 2

Joe Lolley and Matty Cash scored the goals as Nottingham Forest beat Birmingham City in the Championship on Saturday afternoon, and the pair will keep their positions either side of lone forward Ben Brereton.

Michael Mancienne will be hoping for a recall after starting on the bench against Birmingham, while Kieran Dowell is also an option for head coach Aitor Karanka.

Norwich City vs Nottingham Forest Betting Tips, Preview & Predictions

Ben Brereton has impressed this season despite not turning 19 until April

Nottingham Forest will travel to Carrow Road looking for revenge following their 5-1 defeat in the corresponding match last season. The Reds did record a 1-0 victory when the two teams met at the City Ground back in November, but Nottingham Forest have found Norwich a very tough nut to crack at Carrow Road. Indeed, the two-time European Cup winners have not won away at Norwich since December 2008. Just four points and one position currently separates the two teams in the Championship table – suggesting that there will not be too much between them in this match.

Norwich are 9/10 to collect all three points on Tuesday night. The Canaries have won five, drawn seven and lost five of their 17 home Championship matches this season, but as mentioned, have a really strong home record against Nottingham Forest. Daniel Farke’s team did not play at the weekend due to their trip to Barnsley being postponed, which means that they should be fresh for this match. Each of their last four Championship games have finished level, and they are actually unbeaten in the league since a 2-1 home defeat by Sheffield United on January 20.

Nottingham Forest are 4/1 to triumph at Carrow Road. Aitor Karanka’s side are unbeaten in the Championship since a 2-0 loss to Hull City on February 10. Since then, the Reds, who currently sit 15th in the division, have drawn with Burton Albion and Reading, in addition to beating Queens Park Rangers and Birmingham City. Karanka’s team won 5-2 at QPR in their last away Championship fixture, and will be looking to move to within two points of 14th-placed Norwich in the table.

The draw is available at 5/2, and it is worth noting that Norwich have already drawn seven home Championship matches this season. The Canaries will also enter the match having shared the points in each of their last four league matches, and it is perhaps the type of game where both managers would be happy to accept a point in order to move further from the bottom three as the business end of the campaign draws ever closer. That said, there has not been a league draw between these two teams for almost eight years.

Nelson Oliveira is 7/2 in the first goalscorer market for Norwich here, while he can be backed at 5/1 to register two or more goals during the 90 minutes of action. Oliveira has scored eight Championship goals for the Canaries this season, with his last effort coming against Wolverhampton Wanderers on February 21.

Ben Brereton is 8/1 in the first goalscorer market on Tuesday night, while the Nottingham Forest forward is available at 7/5 to register at any point during the 90 minutes of football. The 18-year-old has impressed during his breakthrough season for the club, and will be looking to add to the three Championship goals that he has managed during the 2017-18 campaign.

Predicted Score: Norwich City 2 - 2 Nottingham Forest
