In a sentence: With Cardiff’s automatic promotion hopes taking a beating in the past week, can they get back on track with a win against Norwich?

Last time: Norwich left Wales without any points as Cardiff romped to a 3-1 win at home.

This time: Norwich to win is at 23/10, a draw is 23/10 and a Cardiff win is at 6/5.

You might remember: In the past 10 years, Norwich have only lost to Cardiff four times, with three of those defeats being in Wales. Will that have any bearing on the football betting tips for the weekend?

Betting Tips & Predictions

Kenneth Zohore could cause problems for Norwich City on Saturday

What a week it’s been for Cardiff! First, their controversial loss at home to Wolves followed by another defeat to promotion rivals Aston Villa at Villa Park, making this fixture away to Norwich all that more important. Usually, this Championship preview would have Cardiff down as favourites for this game and as the last six games show, that may be fair enough. And still, a 1-1 draw at 6/1 may be short(ish) odds but it may be the safe bet, considering Norwich’s recent form, which is making a nightmare of football betting predictions.

The Championship predictions this season have been interesting considering the fickleness of the league, especially at this late stage, but with this one it’s probably best to back Cardiff, despite their recent woes. A 2-0 win is at 10/1 and a 3-1 win is at 18/1, with Junior Hoillet 11/2 to score first, if you fancy a bet in the football score predictions market.

As for Norwich, their inconsistency since the start of the campaign has thrown off a few football predictions this season but when you see odds such 16/1 for a 2-0 win and 28/1 for a 3-1 win, you can clearly see that they aren’t exactly favourites. That being said, a 2-2 draw would be typical Norwich this season, and that’s priced at 16/1, which may be worth considering.

Match Summary

1

Look out for:

Kenneth Zahore has been impressive for Cardiff this season, and he’s currently 5/1 to open the scoring and since we also fancy the both teams to score predictions, he’ll help towards that too.

2

We fancy:

Both teams to score is at 4/5, which is why one of our football betting tips for the weekend is the 2-1 Cardiff win at 8/1.

3

It’s a long shot, but:

Cardiff may have lost their last two games, but it’s unlikely they’ll lose a third on the trot, especially at a scoreline like 4-0 to Norwich, which is priced at a long 100/1.
