Away Arsenal

Match Summary

1 Look out for:

Danny Welbeck. The forward has been drafted in by Wenger to replace the injured Mkhitaryan and has really stepped up to the task. Fighting for his place in the England squad this summer, Welbeck has scored a brace in his last two starts and is a dark horse to score in our football bet tips and predictions. Welbeck to score first is 6/1.

2 We fancy:

Arsenal to win 2-1 at 8/1. This Premier League preview sees the Gunners as favourites, but their defence has been far from secure in recent weeks, and Newcastle should get themselves on the scoresheet.

3 It's a long shot, but…

Kenedy to score first at 10/1. The Brazilian winger has impressed since joining the Magpies and will cause a threat to the attack-minded Hector Bellerin. At those odds, he could turn out to be one of the best football betting tips for the weekend.

Newcastle United's Last Six:

Won: 4 Drawn: 1 Lost: 1

Mo Diame and Josule were both deemed fit to play in Newcastle’s win over Leicester, with the former even making the starting XI. Islam Slimani however, was ineligible to play against his parent side, but may make only his second appearance for the Magpies since joining in January.

Arsenal's Last Six:

Won: 6 Drawn: 0 Lost: 0

Granit Xhaka missed Arsenal’s Europa League win with flu, whilst David Ospina is suffering with an ankle sprain. Henrikh Mkhitaryan looks set to miss most of the remainder of the season, having picked up a knee injury during Arsenal’s last 16 first leg against CSKA Moscow.

Newcastle United vs Arsenal Betting Tips, Preview & Predictions

It’s Newcastle against Arsenal at St James’ Park on Sunday, in a fixture which has often proved very exciting in the Premier League era

Newcastle are sitting precariously in the top half of the table, and will be keen to press their advantage over Bournemouth with a win. Their opponents this week, Arsenal, will be no pushovers, and could draw level on points with Chelsea with a victory.

Newcastle are 9/4 to win, and have been in fine form recently, improving their odds in Premier League predictions. The Magpies have won three in a row, two of which they kept a clean sheet in, leaving Rafa Bentiez’s players full of confidence.

Arsenal are 10/11 to beat Newcastle, and are enjoying a purple patch themselves with seven consecutive wins in all competitions. Arsene Wenger’s side has beaten their weekend opponents in their last 10 meetings and football score predictions suggest that the same is likely on Sunday.

A draw is 5/2 and would be a decent result for Newcastle, who haven’t lost at home this calendar year.

Ayoze Perez is 3/1 to score anytime against Arsenal, having hit the back of his net in his last two games for Newcastle. The attacking midfielder stood out against Leicester, constantly finding space between the defence and midfield, and assisting Jonjo Shelvey for the opener.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is 11/10 to score anytime, and will be a certain starter following Alexandre Lacazette’s performance in the Europa League. The Gabon forward has five goals in his last four games and is dominating football bet tips and predictions at the moment.

Predicted Score: Newcastle United 1 - 2 Arsenal
