Match Summary

1 Look out for:

One of our Nations League predictions here is for Germany to win and BTTS at 29/10 with 188Bet. Germany have plenty of goals in their side, as do the hosts but should have just a little bit too much quality for Holland here to edge the game.

2 We fancy:

Our main football betting tip for this weekend is Germany to win at 23/20 with Blacktype. It is always difficult not to back a side like Germany when they are odds-against, especially in a fixture of note and not just a friendly. They have quality in every position and will be looking to win here to pick themselves up after a testing few months.

3 It's a long shot, but…

Germany to win 2-1 is our correct score prediction for this game at 17/2 with Betstars. Holland looked decent in their 2-1 defeat to France and Germany showed signs of weakness in defence in the World Cup and with the players the home side have, you would think they can get on the score sheet. Germany should edge it, just, however.

One to Watch: Memphis Depay

The Lyon winger has performed a serious U-turn in his career following his awful time at Manchester United and is now seen as one of the best forwards in European football. He has had a quiet start to the season so far this campaign but stood out in the match against Manchester City in the Champions League and registered an impressive 22 goals and 17 assists in 51 appearances for Lyon last season, whilst also having a hand in three of the Holland’s last five goals whilst on international duty.

The home side have no injury concerns for the game but who will partner Virgil Van Dijk in central defence is the key selection issue ahead of the game. Matthijs de Ligt is the most likely to play there.

Marco Reus, Kai Havertz and Antonio Rudiger have withdrawn from the squad due to injury. Leroy Sane could start after being left out of the World Cup squad and Emre Can has been called up for these Nations League games.

Netherlands vs Germany Betting Tips, Preview & Predictions

Germany world cup
Will Joachim Low witness a German victory?

In this Nations League preview, we look ahead to the League A, Group 1 fixture between the Netherlands and Germany on Saturday evening. We have been searching through the markets to find some free football betting tips for you to use on this game.

These two sides have both struggled in the last year or so, with Holland failing to qualify for the World Cup and Germany being knocked out of it in the group stage. The Nations League offers both a chance to get back on track and both sides come into this game looking for their first win in the group. France beat Holland 2-1 last month in their opener, whilst Germany played out a 0-0 draw with the World Champions.

Looking at the betting for this fixture, it looks quite a difficult one to call given both sides are struggling for form at the minute. Germany have only played twice since their miserable World Cup campaign; drawing with France and narrowly beating Peru in a friendly last month. Germany start the match as favourites at 23/20 with Blacktype, whilst the Netherlands are out at 27/10 and the draw valued at 11/4.

Germany’s record in qualification campaigns, which is sort of what this Nations League equates to, is mightily impressive. Germany have won 17 of their 20 across World Cup and European Championship qualifying games and whilst this game looks close, Germany at odds-against looks too good to miss out on. So our first football betting tip is Germany to win at 23/20 with Blacktype.

Holland’s record at home reads well, winning five of their last six games, scoring 17 goals in that process. They have goals in their side with the likes of Memphis Depay, Ryan Babel and Quincy Promes. Germany are also very much a side who score plenty of goals. They have managed 67 across their last 20 World Cup and European CHampionship qualifying matches, which is a staggering statistic and shows they are also full of goals. Our next football prediction here is for BTTS at 4/6 with Betfair.

Predicted Score: Netherlands 1 - 1 Germany
