Match Summary

2 We fancy:

Today’s football prediction is the 1-1 draw, which is available at 11/2 with bet365. There is not an awful lot between these two teams in terms of overall quality, and we fancy the points to be shared as part of our football predictions.

One to Watch: Nick Powell

Wigan Athletic did well to keep Nick Powell at the club during the recent summer transfer window, and the attacker has been in fine form this season.

Indeed, the 24-year-old has scored four times and registered four assists in 12 Championship appearances for the Latics during the 2018-19 campaign.

Wigan might find it difficult to keep the former Manchester United youngster in January, especially if his early-season form continues.

Powell will fancy his chances of upsetting Millwall on Tuesday night, and the attacker can be backed at 8/1 with 888sport in the first goalscorer market, which is certainly worth considering as part of our Championship predictions.

Steve Morison started on the bench in Millwall’s 3-1 defeat to Reading at the weekend, but the experienced striker could return for this match.

Tom Bradshaw will also be pushing for a spot in attack as head coach Neil Harris considers shuffling his pack for the home fixture.

Josh Windass and Nick Powell started as the front two in Wigan’s 1-0 win over West Bromwich Albion at the weekend, and that should again be the case in this one.

Head coach Paul Cook could select the same XI from the clash with the Baggies, meaning that James Vaughan would again start on the bench.

Millwall vs Wigan Athletic Betting Tips, Preview & Predictions

Is the feel-good factor finally on its way back to The Den?

Millwall will be looking to escape the Championship relegation zone when they welcome Wigan Athletic to the Den on Tuesday night. The Lions have only won once in the Championship since August 18, and Saturday’s 3-1 defeat at Reading saw them drop into the bottom three. Neil Harris’ side will welcome a Wigan side that has collected 20 points from their 13 matches this season to sit eighth. The Latics have had a wobble in recent weeks, but will enter this match off the back of a very impressive 1-0 win over West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon.

Millwall are 13/10 as part of the best football betting tips. As mentioned above in this Championship preview, Harris’ side dropped into the bottom three with their 3-1 defeat at Reading last time out. The Lions have lost seven of their 13 Championship matches this season, recording just two wins in the process. That said, both of their league victories this term have come on their own patch, including a 2-1 success over Aston Villa in their last game at the Den on October 6.

Wigan are 12/5 to pick up all three points from their trip to the English capital. Paul Cook’s team, as mentioned above in this Championship preview, sit eighth in the table having gathered 20 points from their 13 fixtures this term. The Latics have suffered five league defeats, but have also recorded six wins to sit just outside the playoff positions. It will be the first time that Wigan have travelled to Millwall in the league since March 2016, and that match finished in a goalless draw.

The draw is available at 5/2, which should certainly be considered as part of our football score predictions. Indeed, three of the last four matches between these two teams have finished level, including at the Den last time out. That said, Wigan have only drawn two Championship matches this term, and both of those occurred on home soil.

Predicted Score: Millwall 1 - 1 Wigan Athletic
