In a sentence: Manchester City will attempt to make it 17 straight Premier League wins when they welcome struggling Bournemouth to the Etihad Stadium this weekend.

Last time: Man City recorded a 2-1 victory when they travelled to Bournemouth earlier this season. The pair were actually locked at 1-1 entering the final stages of that match, before Raheem Sterling came up with a 90th minute winner for the visitors.

This time: Man City are 1/10 to collect all three points with Bournemouth available at 33/1 and the draw at 11/1.

You might remember: The first ever Premier League clash between the two teams took place in October 2015. It was a tough afternoon for Bournemouth as they suffered a 5-1 defeat at the Etihad Stadium, with Wilfried Bony on the scoresheet for the home side.

Betting Tips & Predictions

Man City have won their last 16 Premier League matches to open up an 11-point advantage over second-placed Manchester United in the table. The Citizens will be confident of continuing their record-breaking form when they welcome a Bournemouth team that have not been victorious in the top flight since the middle of November.

Man City are 1/10 to collect all three points as they look to stretch their lead at the summit. Guardiola’s side have won eight of their nine home Premier League games this season with an aggregate score of 32-7 and will enter the match off the back of a very impressive 4-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.

Bournemouth are 33/1 as they attempt to become the first English team to beat Man City this season. The Cherries have picked up points in four of their nine away league matches this season, but have only managed six goals on their travels. It is a very tough task for Eddie Howe’s side, but they did perform well in a recent 1-0 defeat at Man United.

The draw is 11/1 and it is worth noting that West Ham United ran Man City close during their Premier League clash at the Etihad Stadium earlier this month. As mentioned, Bournemouth also recently came close to securing a point away to Man United and the festive period has a tendency to throw up surprise results. Not many Premier League matches will have odds of 11/1 for the draw.

De Bruyne is 7/1 to be the first goalscorer as the Belgian looks to continue his excellent run of recent form. The attacker netted against Tottenham at the weekend and is also available at 13/8 to find the back of the net at any point against the Cherries.

Defoe is 14/1 to be the first goalscorer at the Etihad Stadium. The forward recently scored a brace away to Crystal Palace and does not usually need a second invitation in the final third of the field. The England international is available at 9/2, meanwhile, to be on the scoresheet at any point during the 90 minutes.

Match Summary

Look out for:

It is 1/3 that a goal is scored in both halves. Bournemouth have not exactly been watertight at the back in recent weeks, and Man City will fancy their chances of netting at least once in either half at the Etihad Stadium.

We fancy:

Man City to win by three or more goals at 8/11. Bournemouth could have a very difficult afternoon in Manchester as Guardiola’s side look to record their 18th Premier League win of the campaign.

It’s a long shot, but:

Correct score of 6-0 Man City is 25/1. The Citizens are certainly capable of giving Bournemouth a real hiding as they go in search of yet another win in their incredible Premier League campaign.
