Man City have won their last 16 Premier League matches to open up an 11-point advantage over second-placed Manchester United in the table. The Citizens will be confident of continuing their record-breaking form when they welcome a Bournemouth team that have not been victorious in the top flight since the middle of November.
Man City are 1/10 to collect all three points as they look to stretch their lead at the summit. Guardiola’s side have won eight of their nine home Premier League games this season with an aggregate score of 32-7 and will enter the match off the back of a very impressive 4-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.
Bournemouth are 33/1 as they attempt to become the first English team to beat Man City this season. The Cherries have picked up points in four of their nine away league matches this season, but have only managed six goals on their travels. It is a very tough task for Eddie Howe’s side, but they did perform well in a recent 1-0 defeat at Man United.
The draw is 11/1 and it is worth noting that West Ham United ran Man City close during their Premier League clash at the Etihad Stadium earlier this month. As mentioned, Bournemouth also recently came close to securing a point away to Man United and the festive period has a tendency to throw up surprise results. Not many Premier League matches will have odds of 11/1 for the draw.
De Bruyne is 7/1 to be the first goalscorer as the Belgian looks to continue his excellent run of recent form. The attacker netted against Tottenham at the weekend and is also available at 13/8 to find the back of the net at any point against the Cherries.
Defoe is 14/1 to be the first goalscorer at the Etihad Stadium. The forward recently scored a brace away to Crystal Palace and does not usually need a second invitation in the final third of the field. The England international is available at 9/2, meanwhile, to be on the scoresheet at any point during the 90 minutes.
