Málaga vs Barcelona Betting Tips, Preview & Predictions

In a sentence: Rock bottom side Málaga welcome Real Madrid to Andalucía on Sunday as part of our La Liga predictions.

Last time: Málaga were defeated in the Santiago Bernabéu earlier this season with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring the winning goal.

This time: Málaga are almost certain to be relegated, and this is reflected in their odds of 9/1 to win. Real Madrid are clear favourites at 1/4, and the draw is 5/1.

Betting Tips & Predictions

Real Madrid Ronaldo football

Could Real Madrid rest Cristiano Ronaldo against doomed Malaga?

Given Málaga’s horrendous season in 2017-18, a Real Madrid win is one of the clearest football predictions for this round of La Liga fixtures.

González’s side have won just once in their last 16 games, and Real are unbeaten in their last five games in La Liga. They pay out at 1/4 to win and that bet should be on your weekend football predictions list.

Goals have been flowing for Real in recent weeks, with Zidane’s men netting 15 goals in their last five La Liga games, with Málaga conceding 7 goals in the same run of games.

With that in mind, Real Madrid should win this tie comfortably, one of the more profitable football bet tips and predictions is the visitors to win and over 2.5 total goal scored – priced at 2/3.

Even if Ronaldo is given the night off, Real should have more than enough to continue to solidify their top four position.

Predicted Score: Malaga CF 0 - 3 Real Madrid CF

Match Summary

Look out for:

With Ronaldo set to be left in Madrid, Zidane will turn to his French compatriot Benzema to lead the Madrid attack.

Despite scoring just 5 goals in La Liga this season, Benzema is still a threat against domestic opposition.

Madrid will create a hatful of chances for him and he is 7/2 to score first.

We fancy:

With just the chance of Champions League glory left for Real Madrid this season, Zidane will rotate his squad for the remaining La Liga games.

Against stronger opposition they may potentially face issues with this policy, however Málaga’s awful form means there should be no problem.

A 3-0 away win comes in at 7/1, which is among the likelier football score predictions.

It’s a long shot, but:

Whilst Málaga may struggle to win, they could cause a second string Madrid side some problems and upset a few La Liga predictions.

Their leading scorers this season are Gonzalo Castro and Diego Rolán with four goals each, and both players have bagged in the last fortnight.

They both scored against Real Madrid earlier this season, and if you are looking in the wild card football betting tips for the weekend, Castro is at 10/3 to score anytime and so is Rolán.
