Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho

Liverpool will look to win their first home Premier League game since November 18 when they welcome Swansea to Anfield on Boxing Day. The Reds have drawn their last three home league matches against Chelsea, Everton and West Bromwich Albion, but will be confident of overcoming a Swansea side that have only been victorious in one of their nine away Premier League matches this season.

Liverpool are 2/11 to triumph as they look to continue their unbeaten home Premier League record this season. The Reds have drawn five of their nine league games at Anfield, however, including their last three. These are the type of matches that Jurgen Klopp’s side have to win if they are to finish in the top four this season.

Swansea are 18/1 to secure all three points as they look to record just their second Premier League away win of the 2017-18 campaign. The Swans have only managed five away goals all season, but they have won two of their last three league games with Liverpool – including a 3-2 success at Anfield last season.

The draw is 7/1 and as mentioned, Liverpool have been somewhat of the draw specialists at Anfield this season. Everton and West Brom have both earned a share of the spoils away to Liverpool in recent weeks, and the recent meetings between these two teams suggest that it could be a tight affair on Merseyside.

Philippe Coutinho is 4/1 to open the scoring against Swansea, while the Brazilian can be backed at 7/1 to find the back of the net on two or more occasions. The Barcelona target has been in fine form in a deeper position for the Reds in recent weeks.

Tammy Abraham is 11/1 in the first goalscorer market, while the on-loan forward can be backed at 22/1 to score two or more against Liverpool. Bony’s expected absence should see the England international lead the Swansea line.

Match Summary

Look out for:

Coutinho to score a hat-trick for Liverpool can be backed at 40/1. The attacker will have a lot of the ball against the visitors, and certainly has the capabilities of netting three times. The team’s leading scorer Mohamed Salah, meanwhile, is available at 20/1 in the same market.

We fancy:

Correct score of 3-1 Liverpool is available at 11/1. The Reds should have enough to secure all three points on home soil, but Swansea have the players to nick a goal down the other end of the field.

It’s a long shot, but:

The 0-0 draw is available at 25/1. West Brom recently frustrated Liverpool at Anfield, and with Swansea in a similar position to the Baggies, they will surely set up to make life very difficult for the home side.
