Crystal Palace

Match Summary

1 Look out for:

The two or more goals market. Vardy can be backed at 6/1 to net two or more this weekend. Meanwhile, in-form Mahrez is available at 22/1. Both are certainly capable of netting a couple of goals against the Eagles.

2 We fancy:

Leicester to win both halves at 9/2. The Foxes have a number of forward players in impressive form at the moment and they will fancy their chances of scoring in either half against a Palace team that do not travel well.

3 It's a long shot, but…

Correct score of 3-0 Leicester at 18/1. It is the type of match where Palace could struggle if the home side get going in the early exchanges.

Leicester’s last six: Won: 3 Drawn: 2 Lost: 1

The form of Jamie Vardy, Demarai Gray and Riyad Mahrez means that summer signing Kelechi Iheanacho is expected to start on the bench once again.

Robert Huth and Matty James are still on the sidelines for the Foxes, but head coach Claude Puel has no new injury concerns entering this weekend’s match.

Bakary Sako and James McArthur will both be pushing for spots in the team after the pair came off the bench to score in the latter stages of Palace’s spectacular 2-1 win over Watford at Selhurst Park on Tuesday night.

Mamadou Sakho will again miss out with a calf problem, however, meaning that Scott Dann should keep his spot at the heart of the defence alongside James Tomkins.

Leicester City vs Crystal Palace Betting Tips, Preview & Predictions

Leicester are pushing for the top six after an impressive run of form, but Palace will enter the match off the back of a morale-boosting late win over Watford on Tuesday night. Palace do have the worst away record in the division as things stand, however, and Leicester will fancy their chances of continuing their pursuit of the European positions with a win.

Leicester are 10/11 to win it and the Foxes will be looking to make it three successive home Premier League victories, having beaten Tottenham Hotspur and Burnley in their last two at the King Power Stadium. Their three home league defeats this season have come against Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City.

Palace are 3/1 to collect all three points, but the Eagles have not won a single Premier League match on their travels this season – losing six of their eight fixtures. If Roy Hodgson is to steer the club away from danger, the capital club have to improve their away form in the coming weeks.

The draw is 12/5 and matches over the festive period in the Premier League do have a tendency to produce surprise results. Leicester recorded a 3-1 win in the corresponding game last season, but the points were shared in their last meeting back in April. The draw should not be ruled out as Palace will be bouncing following Tuesday’s win.

Jamie Vardy is 3/1 in the first goalscorer market and the England international will be confident of upsetting Palace’s unsettled defence in the early stages.

McArthur is 8/1 to score anytime. Palace have remarkably not managed a single away goal in the Premier League this season, but that has to end at some point and the midfielder came up with a late winner against Watford last time out

Predicted Score: Leicester City 2 - 1 Crystal Palace
