In a sentence: This is a battle for a top half finish, as eighth in the table hosts 11th.

Last time: The sides played out an uneventful 1-1 draw on the final day of 2016/17. Junior Stanislas and Jamie Vardy got the goals.

This time: Leicester are 5/6 to win with Bournemouth at 7/2 and the draw 14/5.

You might remember: This is a tough one, as there has rarely been many goals when these sides meet. Leicester’s pair of 3-2 wins in the late 1980s were probably entertaining, right?

Betting Tips & Predictions

Jamie Vardy has a habit of finding the net against Bournemouth

These teams are separated by just four points in the Premier League table, yet as the bottom half is so congested Leicester are looking like finishing seventh whilst Bournemouth are still not entirely safe from relegation. It’s a mid-table encounter that actually has a lot on the line.

Leicester are 5/6 to win the match. The Foxes have only won one of their last six league matches, but they have also only lost one of their last half dozen at the King Power stadium. They haven’t been beaten in any of their last three home meetings with the Cherries either.

Bournemouth are priced at 7/2 to head south with three points. Eddie Howe’s team have only lost one of their last six league matches, and have been the fifth best team in the division over that period. If they can win 3-0 at Chelsea, they can certainly win at Leicester.

The draw can be backed at 14/5. Leicester and Bournemouth have drawn nine and eight matches in the league respectively, and both drew last weekend too.

Jamie Vardy is 10/3 to open the scoring, or 21/20 to get on the score sheet at some point. The England international has bagged 13 league goals already this season, and has scored on two of Bournemouth’s last three visits to Leicester.

Callum Wilson is available at 21/10 to bag a goal, or 6/1 to break the deadlock. He has scored against the Foxes in the past, and has got four goals in his last ten appearances for the Cherries.

Match Summary

Look out for:

A red card? The Foxes have been shown three this season, and only Watford and Chelsea have gone down to ten men more times in 2017/18. Bournemouth have only had one red card this season, but have received one in two of their last three matches at Leicester.

We fancy:

Under 2.5 goals, at 29/25. Although these teams generally feature in a lot of matches with at least three goals, it doesn’t happen when they play each other. There have been just six goals in total in the last six meetings, and none of those games has seen over 2.5 goals.

It’s a long shot, but:

Nathan Aké to score first, at 35/1. Bournemouth are the joint-second top scorers of set piece goals in the Premier League, and Leicester have conceded the second most. Aké has scored twice in his last ten matches, and both goals were from corners.
