A tight one. Despite the disparity in current league position, this fixture has been close over recent seasons. Six of the last seven meetings between the sides have been won by one goal, with three victories apiece. Leeds are 12/5 to win by one goal with bet365.

3 It's a long shot, but…

Ipswich are 18/1 with Paddy Power to win this game 1-0 in your football score predictions. The Tractor Boys won by that scoreline the last time the teams met, and that was also the result the last time they won at Elland Road in September 2015.

One to Watch: Mateusz Klich

Mateusz Klich has returned to Leeds this season after spending most of last term on loan at FC Utrecht, and the Polish international seems to have found his feet in English football. The 28-year-old has five goals in the Championship, with each of those the first goal for his team.

Operating from deep, Klich also has three assists to his name, and if he can keep up his impressive performances then he’s going to be a major asset for Leeds in their promotion push. He is 13/2 for the first goal of the game on Wednesday with 888sport.

Leeds United vs Ipswich Town Betting Tips, Preview & Predictions

Kemar Roofe could be a danger man as Leeds take on Ipswich on Wednesday night

High-flying Leeds United welcome bottom club Ipswich Town to Elland Road on Wednesday night in this Championship preview. Both teams lost at the weekend but there’s no doubt the home side start as the heavy favourites in your football predictions.

Leeds are 23/50 for the win, which would see them keep pace towards the top of the table. The Whites are struggling for consistency but they’re only two points from the Championship summit. Nine teams are within five points of them though, so Bielsa’s side need to win home games like this.

Ipswich are 15/2 in your football betting tips for Wednesday. The Tractor Boys picked up their first victory of the season with an impressive 3-2 win at Swansea just before the international break, but Paul Hurst’s side lost 2-0 at home to QPR on Saturday, their sixth defeat of the campaign.

The draw is 15/4 and looks to be the best the visitors can hope for. The Blues have shown a certain amount of resilience in drawing six times so far this term, although five of those were at home. If Leeds play the football they’re capable of, this should be a comfortable win for United.

Kemar Roofe is the 10/3 favourite to break the deadlock, and he comes into this encounter with four goals so far this season. Gwion Edwards has one less for this struggling Ipswich side, and he could be worth a look a 16/1 for the opening goal of the game.

Predicted Score: Leeds United 2 - 1 Ipswich Town
