In a sentence: After a terrible drop in form and a change in management, a win for Leeds would close the gap between themselves and their opponents Brentford.

Last time: Earlier in the season, Brentford took all three points in a 3-1 win at Griffin Park.

This time: Leeds are 8/5 to win, a draw is 12/5 and an away win for Brentford is 13/8.

You might remember: In nine meetings between the two, Leeds have only won once, back in 2016 in a 1-0 win.

Betting Tips & Predictions

Leeds’ terrible run means they haven’t won at Elland Road since before Christmas

A big game for both sides in the hunt to resurrect their poor seasons, Leeds and Brentford will need a win to see if they can perhaps build up a late push for a play off place. A 2-0 win for Leeds is priced at 14/1 and for Brentford it’s also 14/1, but if you take a brief look at their respective forms, it wouldn’t exactly be wise to place such a victory on Leeds. But if you do fancy Leeds to win, you can get 17/2 on a 1-0 win.

As for goal scorers, Pierre Michel Lasogga could look to build on his performance against Derby and is 5/1 to score first and 6/4 to score at any time, which might be worth something provided he starts again. For Brentford, former Saint Etienne forward Neil Maupay is favourite to score first, priced at 5/1 and can go two for two in terms of identical odds with Lasogga as he’s also 6/4 to score at any time.

A Brentford 2-1 with Maupay to score first will see you get a price at 45/1 and 18/1 to score at any time, but a 2-0 win with no specific scorer is 14/1, which may not be as valuable as a 45/1 2-1 win with Maupay to score. All in all, it wouldn’t be unwise to place something on Brentford to win and take three points away from Elland Road.

Match Summary

1

Look out for:

As mentioned before, 2-0 to Brentford with Alan Judge to score first is 80/1 and might actually be a really good value bet.

2

We fancy:

A 3-1 Brentford win is 20/1 and could be the safest bet that can get you a somewhat large amount of return.

3

It’s a long shot, but:

Leeds haven’t won in six games, so a 4-0 with Pontus Jansson to score first is at any eye-watering 900/1…
