Match Summary

1 Look out for:

The first goalscorer market has a lot of interesting value for this match. Leigh Griffiths could well come into the Celtic side, and the Scot is at 16/5 with Paddy Power in the first goalscorer market as part of our Scottish Premiership predictions.

One to Watch: Odsonne Edouard

Odsonne Edouard – a summer arrival from Paris Saint-Germain – has scored four times in all competitions for Celtic this season, but has netted just once in four Scottish Premiership matches.

The 20-year-old proved last season that he can score goals in the Scottish league, however, and will be looking to return to the scoresheet against Kilmarnock this weekend.

Edouard had a frustrating evening against St Mirren on Friday night, but will again lead the line against Kilmarnock.

The Frenchman is at 16/5 in the first goalscorer market with Paddy Power, which should be considered as part of the best football betting tips for the weekend.

Kilmarnock boss Steve Clarke has no fresh injury concerns from the team that suffered a 3-2 defeat at Hibernian last time out.

Kris Boyd came off the bench against Hibernian, and the forward could now be handed a spot in the starting XI alongside Eamonn Brophy.

Celtic will be without the services of midfielder Olivier Ntcham, who picked up a red card in the goalless draw with St Mirren last time out.

Experienced midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu could come into the XI, while Scott Sinclair will also be pushing for a start having not played a part against St Mirren.

Kilmarnock vs Celtic Betting Tips, Preview & Predictions

Kilmarnock take on Celtic at Rugby Park in the Scottish Premiership’s Sunday lunchtime kick-off

Celtic will look to return to winning ways in the Scottish Premiership when they travel to Kilmarnock on Sunday afternoon. The Hoops were held to a goalless draw by St Mirren last time out, and have now fallen five points behind division leaders Hearts, who beat them earlier this season. Kilmarnock, meanwhile, have collected seven points from their five matches this term to occupy seventh spot in the table. As mentioned above in the Scottish Premiership preview, Steve Clarke’s team recorded a 1-0 win when the two teams met back in February, and will fancy their chances of causing an under-par Celtic a lot of problems.

Kilmarnock are 13/2 as part of the best football betting tips. Killie, who finished fifth in the Scottish Premiership last season, have won two, drawn one and lost two of their five league fixtures this term to sit in seventh spot. Clarke’s side recorded a 2-0 win away to Aberdeen earlier this month, but suffered a 3-2 defeat at Hibernian on Saturday afternoon. It has been a mixed start to the season, but as mentioned above in this Scottish Premiership preview, Kilmarnock beat Celtic 1-0 back in February.

Celtic are 4/9 to return to winning ways in the league. The Scottish champions have dropped points in two of their five Scottish Premiership matches this season, losing to Hearts and drawing with St Mirren. The Hoops did record a 1-0 win over Rangers earlier this month, but have struggled for consistency in the early weeks of the 2018-19 campaign. Brendan Rodgers’ side have also only won one of their last four matches with Kilmarnock, and are yet to triumph away from home on their travels in the Scottish Premiership this season.

The draw is 16/5, and it is certainly worth noting when considering the potential football score predictions that two of the last four meetings between the two teams have finished level. The pair have played out just two draws between them in the Scottish Premiership this season, however, and Celtic will surely go full throttle to pick up all three points to prevent Hearts from potentially stretching their lead at the summit.

Predicted Score: Kilmarnock 0 - 2 Celtic
