Match Summary

2 We fancy:

A closely fought contest, with only one goal settling the game. Kilmarnock have been the better side in recent weeks, but Hibernian have the home advantage and have lost just twice in their last 12 matches.

One to Watch: Greg Stewart

The summer signing made his dream debut against Aberdeen with a brilliant solo goal, starting from the halfway line and ending with a delicate chip over the ‘keeper.

Given Killie’s over-reliance on their centre-forward last season, a midfielder that is able to contribute up front would be a welcome relief for Steve Clarke’s side.

With Darren McGregor approaching full fitness, Neil Lennon will have to decide whether to drop young centre-back Ryan Porteous, who has impressed in recent weeks. With Florian Kamberi back in Switzerland to recover from a knee problem, the manager will likely field a similar side to their last outing.

Kris Boyd may be pushing to start against the side that he scored twice against last season, although would have to do so at the expense of Eamon Brophy.

Hibernian vs Kilmarnock Betting Tips, Preview & Predictions

Hibs welcome Kilmarnock to Easter Road in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon

Third-placed Kilmarnock travel to sixth-placed Hibernian this weekend, with both sides looking to improve their recent form. Hibs have won just once in the Premiership this season, whilst Killie earned their first win in four last week.

Hibernian are evens to win this weekend, and will hope to improve their domestic record having been knocked out of the Europa League by Molde three weeks ago. Neil Lennon has a decent squad on paper, but not one with the depth to challenge on four fronts, and the manager may consider the disappointment a chance to refocus.

Kilmarnock are 3/1 to earn a second consecutive win, having gone through a dry spell in August. Even so, Steve Clarke’s side sit just two points off Celtic in the table, tied with both Livingstone and St Johnstone on seven points. A win this weekend would help Killie establish a run of form, and if they do so, they may even be able to challenge the big boys this season.

Martin Boyle is 2/1 to score anytime, having started every league game for Hibs this season and hit the target just once. The forward may not be in his best form at the moment, but is extremely talented from set-pieces and long range, which will come in handy against a superior Killie team.

Kris Boyd is 9/5 to score on Saturday, and will be fresh having missed Killie’s last game and rested over the international break. The Scottish striker finished top scorer in the league last season with 18 goals to his name, and he will be desperate to get up and running in this campaign.

Predicted Score: Hibernian 1 - 1 Kilmarnock
