In a sentence: The Championship’s top scoring sides clash in what should be an entertaining encounter.

Last time: Wolves won 3-1 in March 2017. Ivan Cavaleiro and Andreas Weimann had put the visitors 2-0 up before Denis Odoi pulled one back. David Edwards scored to seal it with 18 minutes to go.

This time: Fulham are 9/5 to win with Wolves at 13/8 and the draw 13/5.

You might remember: Fulham winning 5-0 in a Premier League clash back in 2012. A Pavel Pogrebnyak hat-trick and a brace from Clint Dempsey sealed a thrashing.

Betting Tips & Predictions

Leo Bonatini is one of a number of Wolves players who will be hungry to get the first goal

This will be one of Wolves’ hardest remaining fixtures as they look to win the division and return to the Premier League. The home side are the most in-form team in the Championship, so this should be an excellent match up.

Fulham are 9/5 to win, and their recent record at Craven Cottage suggests it is a definite possibility. The Lilywhites have won their last seven home matches in the league, and they have lost just twice in front of their own fans in 2017/18

Wolves are priced at 13/8 to head home with three points. They have the best away record in the division, with 10 wins and just two defeats from their 16 matches this season. They are unbeaten in their last nine matches on the road in the Championship.

The draw is available at 13/5. Only two teams have drawn more home Championship matches than Fulham have in 2017/18, and four of Wolves’ seven ties have been away from home. Two good teams could easily cancel each other out in this one.

Aleksandar Mitrovic is 15/2 to open the scoring, or 13/5 to bag a goal at some point. The on-loan Newcastle forward opened his account for Fulham with the opener in their 1-1 draw at Bristol City in midweek.

Diogo Jota is 23/10 to add his name to the scoresheet, or 7/1 to get the first goal of the match. Both he and Leo Bonatini have 12 league goals this season, but Jota has four goals in his last 14 appearances whereas his Brazilian teammate has not scored in that period.

Match Summary

1

Look out for:

Goals galore! These are the top two scoring sides in the Championship, and have had 29 different scorers between them this season. Sunderland vs. Middlesbrough is the only fixture in the division this weekend with more goal scorers from 2017/18 potentially involved.

2

We fancy:

Both teams to score, at 8/11. Fulham have been the Championship’s top side for matches where both teams scored in each of the last two seasons. With the firepower both sides can call upon, at least one goal for each seems a very likely outcome.

3

It’s a long shot, but:

A 3-3 draw, at 66/1. When two high scoring teams meet, anything is possible, and the sides are pretty evenly matched recently so a draw could be on the cards.
