Home Fulham

    06/03/2018 Kick Off:  7:45 pm Craven Cottage V Predicted Score:2 - 1

    Away Sheffield United

      Match Summary

      1 Look out for:

Both teams scoring. Fulham have featured in the most matches where both teams scored in each of the last two seasons, and it has also occurred in over half of Sheffield United’s matches in 2017/18. A ‘yes’ bet on both teams to score is available at 8/11.

      2 We fancy:

Fulham to win and both teams to score, at 11/4. The Cottagers may have won their last four at home without conceding, but that run can’t continue for ever. Only three teams have played more away matches than Sheffield United where both teams found the net this season, so expect both to score but Fulham to win.

      3 It's a long shot, but…

Fulham to win 3/2, at 25/1. As the sides shared nine goals earlier this season, the idea of them scoring five between them here doesn’t seem that absurd.

      Team News

      Fulham's Last Six:

        Won: 4 Drawn: 2 Lost: 0

Fulham have no injuries to contend with, so Slavisa Jokanovic has a full squad to select his starting XI from.

        Sheffield United's Last Six:

          Won: 3 Drawn: 0 Lost: 3

The Blades are beset by multiple injuries at present. Leon Clarke, Paul Coutts and Kieron Freeman are definitely out, with David Brooks and James Wilson rated as doubtful.

Fulham vs Sheffield United Betting Tips, Preview & Predictions

Fulham and Sheffield United are both chasing promotion to the Premier League ahead of Tuesday’s Championship encounter at Craven Cottage

Fulham won 2-1 at Derby last weekend, while Sheffield United were able to put their feet up thanks to a snow-induced postponement of their match with Burton Albion. The home side are in better form but the visitors will be fresher, so it should make for an interesting encounter.

Fulham are 24/25 to win, and it’s no wonder their price is so short as they have won their last eight league matches in a row at Craven Cottage. They also haven’t conceded in their last four at home either, and beat leaders Wolves in their last game in front of their own fans.

Sheffield United are priced at 10/3 to take the points. The Blades have a decent record on the road this season, with seven wins, and only four teams have won more away Championship matches than they have in 2017/18.

The draw is available at 29/10, but as Sheffield United have drawn the joint-fewest matches in the division this season, it might not be the wisest bet. There has also only been one draw in the last six meetings of these teams.

Ryan Sessegnon is 6/1 to score the opening goal, or an enticing 11/5 to bag a goal at some point. He is Fulham’s top scorer in the Championship this season, and has scored seven goals in his last 10 matches. Sessegnon also scored a hat-trick at Bramall Lane earlier this season.

Billy Sharp can be backed at 12/5 to get on the score sheet, or 15/2 to get the first goal of the match. Sharp has 12 league goals in 2017/18, and has scored five goals in his last five matches so is in great goalscoring form.

Predicted Score: Fulham 2 - 1 Sheffield United
