Dundee aren’t as clear of the Scottish Premiership relegation battle as they would like to be

Ross County know that every game is a must-win if they are to stay in the league and they welcome a Dundee FC side who themselves are trying to avoid the relegation play-off.

Dundee are favourites for the game at 5/4 and given the awful form of Ross County, they look extremely tempting at that price. They have won three of their last six games, which sees them two points above the play-off place heading into this game at home to the bottom side in the league.

Ross County are priced at 12/5 and have lost five games in a row now, including four league defeats. They have eight games left to survive but with only four wins all season and Celtic and Aberdeen up next after Dundee, this game is imperative if they are to stay up.

Five of Ross County’s last seven have seen over 2.5 goals and County have conceded at least two goals in nine of their last ten league games. They have lost five away games in a row and they come up against a Dundee side who have scored 11 goals in their past eight games. Over 2.5 goals is priced at 11/10, which looks like good value given the form of the two sides.

Despite their recent awful form, County do have a good away record against Dundee. They are undefeated in nine of their last 10 away games at Dundee so will be hopeful of extending that run to try and save their season.

Given that County need to win the game, Dundee can afford to let the away side try and break them down. If Dundee can score in the first-half, this could open the floodgates and there could be a few goals here for the home side. Dundee to score 2+ goals is at 5/4.

Match Summary

Look out for:

Dundee to win and over 2.5 goals at 11/4 looks good given they are the home side and have good form against the teams around them recently.

We fancy:

Dundee to win at 5/4. Simply to win the game at these odds given they are the home side and the form of their opposition, is a no brainer.

It’s a long shot, but:

Ross County to win, BTTS at 11/2. They need to win the game and they could catch Dundee out. They do not keep clean sheets so if they were to win, Ross County to win and BTTS looks promising.
