Match Summary

1 Look out for:

Attack v defence. Dundee have conceded the most in the league, while Hibernian have scored the third most. Despite being at home, it would come as a major surprise if the game was not to follow the pattern of Lennon’s side attacking in waves, with the Dark Blues trying to keep them at bay.

One to Watch: Oli Shaw

The Scotland Under-21 striker is enjoying his best-ever start to a season, with two goals and an assist from his opening four games. Last season, despite making 16 appearances, Shaw only saw slightly over 500 minutes of football, but due to Florian Kamberi’s injury this term he has been given his chance. Now that the Swiss forward is back, Shaw may see his game time reduced and was benched in his side’s last game, but given his form it would be a mistake for Lennon not to utilise him.

Neil McCann will be without Kenny Miller after the forward was sent off against Rangers last week, meaning Sofien Moussa may return to the starting line-up.

Neil Lennon is unlikely to make any major changes to the side who beat Kilmarnock, although the manager will be waiting on the fitness of Martin Boyle, who left the pitch at half time. New signing Mark Milligan may also be in contention for his first start, having come off the bench last weekend.

Dundee vs Hibernian Betting Tips, Preview & Predictions

Will Neil Lennon and Hibs emerge victorious this weekend?

Hibernian travel to Dundee on Saturday, looking to make it back-to-back wins for the first time this season. The Dee have yet to avoid defeat in a league game and look a sure-fire candidate for relegation, unless they are able to find form soon.

Dundee are 10/3 to win, which would be somewhat of a shock, given their 4-0 defeat to Rangers last week. Even home advantage is unlikely to be of much help to Neil McCann’s side, who have lost their last two matches 3-0 at Dens Park. The manager surely doesn’t have much time left to save his job.

Hibernian are 7/10 to take all three points with this weekend. The Edinburgh outfit are tied on points with Rangers and St Johnstone and, as the two sides play each other on Saturday, Lennon’s troops will be able to forge a lead if they beat the 12th-placed team.

A draw is 11/4 and would prove valuable respite for Dundee, not to mention a result they can build on. McCann will surely be working on defensive stability in training, but whether they can keep Hibs out on the pitch is a different matter entirely.

Sofien Moussa is 8/1 to score first and has yet to do so in his four games this season. The 30-year-old forward hit seven goals last term and will be under increasing pressure from new signing Benjamin Kallman, who has already hit the target for Dundee.

Florian Kamberi is 4/1 to get the first goal and will likely be Lennon’s first-choice striker going forward. The Switzerland international missed the start of the season through injury but got off the mark with a penalty in his last game.

Predicted Score: Dundee 0 - 2 Hibernian
