In a sentence: With Derby flying high in second place, they need a win to tighten their grip on that last automatic promotion spot.

Last time: At Carrow Road in October, Derby won 2-1 to put them ahead of Norwich at the time and spark a good run of form.

This time: Derby are 21/20 to pick up all three points, a draw is 12/5 and an away win is priced at 13/5.

You might remember: After a goalless first 45 minutes, goals from David Nugent and Sam Winnall won it all for Derby following Timm Klose’s equalising header.

Derby host Norwich at Pride Park in this Championship fixture

Derby haven’t lost in the Championship since November with their only loss in that period being away to Manchester United in the FA Cup, so this one looks like it could be in the bag. However, they’ve managed to draw 0-0 twice in their last three games, and if you predict a 0-0 this weekend you can get it at odds of 9/1.

However, their two previous victories have both been 3-0, which is slightly higher in price at 16/1. As for Norwich, their form has picked up in recent weeks following an inconsistent start to the season, with only Sheffield United being able to defeat them in the league since December 22. Their last two victories have both been 1-0, with that being priced at 9/1, which could be good value if they can put in a performance to keep up their winning run.

If you fancy a Norwich win with no goals conceded, you can back the Canaries to win to nil at 5/1, which is a bit shorter than a 1-0 victory at 9/1. If you’re leaning more towards a Derby rout though, then 3-1 to the Rams is priced at 16/1.

Match Summary

Look out for:

Norwich’s good defensive record has meant they’ve almost forgotten what it’s like to fall behind in a game, but if you fancy them to come from behind to win that’s priced at 12/1.

We fancy:

Derby will be eager to make a fast start against a tough Norwich team, so a goal for the Rams in the first five minutes is at 6/1.

It’s a long shot, but:

A thrashing from Gary Rowett’s men would really give their goal difference a significant boost, so a 4-0 win at 40/1 could be what ends up happening, shocking many in the process.
