In a sentence: North meets South in this London derby as high flying Spurs travel take on Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace.

Last time: Tottenham beat Crystal Palace at Wembley Stadium back in November, winning 1-0 thanks to a Son Hueng-Min goal.

This time: The Eagles have improved significantly since that defeat and they are 6/1 to win on Sunday, in form Spurs are 4/9 to pick up all three points.

You might remember: The only team to beat Crystal Palace at home since their November defeat to Spurs, has been Tottenham’s great rivals Arsenal.

Betting Tips & Predictions

Harry Kane will be Tottenham’s main threat again in this London derby

Hodgson has done an excellent job after taking over the reins at Palace in September, from the foot of the Premier League table he has brought them up to 15th, and they look set to avoid the drop.

Tottenham’s top four aspirations continue to grow, and they are unbeaten in the league since mid December, having beaten Everton, Manchester United and Arsenal in recent weeks.

Given Palace’s injury worries, particularly the absence of Dann and Zaha, they are not quite the unit they were a month ago, and Tottenham are firing on all cylinders.

Despite the Eagles good home form under Hodgson, Tottenham should just a little too much for them in attack, and a home win is priced at 4/9.

Palace have proven a tricky opponent for the big boys this season, with Hodgson’s men only the third side to get any points from Manchester City in the Premier League in 2017-18, but this task looks a bit much for them.

The movement of Kane, Alli and Co will cause problems for a makeshift Palace defence, but the hosts will carry a threat of their own on the break through the likes of former Spurs man Andros Townsend and Christian Benteke.

A rested Kane, Eriksen and Alli, alongside new signing Lucas Moura, should be an almost guarantee of goals in this game – with Spurs scoring nine goals in their last five games, an over Tottenham to win and over 2.5 goals total bet is priced at 10/3.

Match Summary

1

Look out for:

Kane is obviously the main man for Tottenham, and his goal record this season shows why that is. However new boy Moura showed enough on his debut to suggest he will be a vital player for Spurs between now and the end of the season.

He marked his full debut with a goal, and he is 2/1 to score again on Sunday afternoon against Crystal Palace.

2

We fancy:

Tottenham look very strong at the moment, and the return of Toby Alderweireld in defence and the advantage of no European game in midweek this week means they should be on fire on Sunday.

Palace should get themselves a goal, but Tottenham should pick up the points in this one, a 3-1 away win is priced at 12/1.

3

It’s a long shot, but:

England international Kane is on course to break his own goal scoring records in a season, with 34 goals in all competitions already in 2017-18.

He has netted three hat tricks this season, two in the Premier League in back-to-back games against Burnley and Southampton, and he has four goals in his last four appearances.

He is 11/1 to bag his fourth hat trick of the campaign against Crystal Palace this weekend.
