    10/03/2018 Kick Off:  5:30 pm Stamford Bridge V Predicted Score:3 - 0

    Away Crystal Palace

    Crystal Palace

      Match Summary

      1 Look out for:

Olivier Giroud. This game may be suited to the Frenchman, and he is priced at 17/20 to score at any time.

      2 We fancy:

A 3-0 Chelsea win with a free kick from Marcos Alonso at any time, which has odds of 20/1.

      3 It's a long shot, but…

Maybe a Palace win could be on the cards with Conte’s reign crumbling, but a 4-0 victory for the Eagles is at 200/1, which tells you all you need to know about the likeliness of that result.

      Chelsea's Last Six:

        Won: 2 Drawn: 1 Lost: 3

With the second leg of the Champions League tie against Barcelona coming up, Antonio Conte may look to change things around and he will only have Ross Barkley out with another hamstring injury. There are doubts about N’Golo Kante as well though after his health scare prior to the Manchester City game.

        Crystal Palace's Last Six:

          Won: 0 Drawn: 2 Lost: 4

While Chelsea are relatively injury-free, Palace are a different world completely. Wilfried Zaha, Scott Dann, Connor Wickham, Jason Puncheon, Julian Speroni and Bakary Sako are all out injured. Ruben Loftus-Cheek is also sidelined but he cannot play against his parent club anyway.

Chelsea vs Crystal Palace Betting Tips, Preview & Predictions

Eden Hazard was completely isolated in Chelsea’s defeat against Manchester City on Sunday, so we can expect to play in a deeper role against Crystal Palace this weekend

At any other time, Chelsea would be 100% expected to win this game hands down against a Crystal Palace team who are struggling for wins and desperate for points. But this game is different. The Blues are in poor form and need a win to keep up with Tottenham and the rest of the top four, and are going up against a Palace side who will sit deep and frustrate the champions. With that in mind, a 1-1 draw could be a possibility at 10/1.

Chelsea at home however are much better than on the road, and a 2-0 win could be just as likely as a 1-1 scoreline, and that is priced at 11/2. Conte must surely have learnt from the City loss and realise that Eden Hazard up top on his own isn’t always the way forward, so Alvaro Morata is priced at 3/1 to score first in this clash.

As for Palace, you have to imagine that their chances on goal will be fairly limited. With penalty-taker Luka Milivojevic one of the safest bets in the Premier League from the spot, he is 6/1 to score anytime and 20/1 to score first. Or Andros Townsend, who scored against Manchester United on Monday night, is 16/1 to replicate that goal and score first in west London.

Predicted Score: Chelsea 3 - 0 Crystal Palace
