24/02/2018 Kick Off:  3:00 pm Pirelli V Predicted Score:0 - 1

Away Millwall

Match Summary

1 Look out for:

A quiet opening 45 minutes. The last time the two met it took until the 70th minute for the deadlock to be broken and a slow start is once again a likely occurrence.

For the first half to end 0-0 is 6/4 and with few goals expected in the game, it is a good way to earn a profit quickly.

2 We fancy:

The draw at half time but Millwall to go on and win is 4/1 and that is the best value bet of the game.

Millwall have proved time and time again that they like a late goal especially highlighted against Leeds in January and the Lions will be in no rush to get the better of the Brewers.

3 It's a long shot, but…

Burton need the points much more than Millwall and a repeat of the result from their first meeting at the Pirelli of 2-1 is 12/1.

Burton are poor at home which is why the odds are so long but it is not a complete long shot and more than back-able.

Team News

Burton Albion's Last Six:

Won: 1 Drawn: 2 Lost: 3

Liam Boyce is the only absentee for head coach Nigel Clough. The centre-forward is out for the remainder of the season with a cruciate ligament rupture.

Millwall's Last Six:

Won: 3 Drawn: 2 Lost: 1

Lions boss Neil Harris has a fully fit squad to choose from and will likely name the same starting XI that took down Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 on Tuesday night.

Burton Albion vs Millwall Betting Tips, Preview & Predictions

Three games unbeaten have pulled Burton off the bottom of the Championship

Both sides come into only their fourth meeting buoyed with confidence after collecting three-points in their respective last matches. For Burton, they were very much needed but not quite enough to pull them out of the drop zone. A crucial tie at the bottom which could also decide the Lions fate with regards to a playoff push is set to ensue in an intriguing clash at the Pirelli Stadium.

Burton Albion are 11/4 to win and Nigel Clough’s side often perform well against Millwall having won two of the three meetings so far. However, Burton have the worst home record in the division this season having won just twice and collected a meagre nine points from 16 games.

Millwall are 21/20 and recent form suggests that is the way to go. The Lions are unbeaten in the Championship since New Years Day and Neil Harris has turned his charges from nervy relegation contenders to potential playoff hopefuls.

The draw is 9/4 and that will do neither side any favours for their respective requirements. There is also yet to be a draw between the two, but the Lions collected six draws away from the Den suggesting the draw is back-able.

For only one team to score in the game is 4/5 and that is a sensible way to go. Burton have failed to score in three of their last six games and in 66% of the meetings between the two, only one side has managed to make the net bulge.

Under 2.5 goals in the game is 8/13 and although perhaps a little shorter than we would like, it does make complete sense. Only once in the last six has a game involving Millwall exceeded two goals and with the Brewers only having scored 13 times at home and Millwall having scored just 13 times away all season, do not expect either keeper to be picking the ball out of the back of the net all afternoon.

Predicted Score: Burton Albion 0 - 1 Millwall
