Away Queens Park Rangers

Match Summary

1 Look out for:

Reid to add to his tally for the year. The 24-year-old is 4/1 to open proceedings.

2 We fancy:

Bristol City to win to nil at 10/1. The home side play an attractive brand of football and will be too strong for QPR if they register early on.

3 It's a long shot, but…

Flint to score a brace. The giant defender already has six to his name and notched a career best 15 in the 2014-15 season. The Englishman is 25/1 to make his mark at the other end of the pitch.

Bristol City's Last Six:

Bristol City’s last six: Won: 0 Drawn: 1 Lost: 5

Senegalese front man and record buy Famara Diedhiou returned from a three month spell on the sidelines at half-time against Derby County last Friday.

The imposing striker has been missed but will likely find himself on the bench to start with before featuring late on.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Luke Steele is expected to deputise in the absence of Frank Fielding, who picked up a groin injury in the goalless draw at Pride Park.

Queens Park Rangers' Last Six:

QPR’s last six: Won: 2 Drawn: 1 Lost: 3

Ian Holloway is boosted by the return of Alex Baptiste following a back problem which kept the defender out of the 3-1 win over Burton Albion.

The Hoops have been extremely unfortunate in recent weeks, having to make do without the services of stoppers Nedum Onuoha, James Perch and Darnell Furlong all for sustained periods this campaign, but now look more assured with captain Onuoha over his injury troubles.

Bristol City vs Queens Park Rangers Betting Tips, Preview & Predictions

Bristol City have been the Championship’s surprise package this season

After the euphoria of knocking out Carabao Cup holders Manchester United at Ashton Gate, the Robins have since endured a mini slump. Johnson’s side have failed to win any of their last six matches in all competitions and need to refocus if they are to secure a play-off spot.

Competition is hotting up at the top of the table and with Aston Villa and Derby flexing their financial muscle, every point will be valuable from now until the end of the season. The hosts are 10/11 to come away with the spoils and reaffirm themselves in the chasing pack.

QPR are 3/1 to get back to winnings ways and it’s been a mixed bag from Holloway’s side of late. The Hoops beat much fancied Cardiff on New Year’s Day but lost two of the three matches to follow. First choice attacker Conor Washington only has strike to his name from the last 11 appearances and could be at risk if Holloway opts to freshen things up. Top scorer Matt Smith would be the likely inclusion in the eleven.

A stalemate is backed at 5/2, and has promise. Four of the last seven meetings between the teams has ended in a draw, and the visitors will fancy their chances of stopping another promotion hopeful in their tracks.

Famara Diedhiou is 12/1 to net last, and this looks a good bet considering the hitman will get a late run out in the dying stages. Diedhiou is not quite ready to start from the opening whistle but the much needed game time will go a long way to bolstering Johnson’s options for the remainder of the season.

Smith is 37/13 to bag anytime, and there is value here particularly if the burly forward plays from the offset. QPR may opt for the long ball and the battle between Smith and Flint promises to be a fascinating battle.

Predicted Score: Bristol City 3 - 0 Queens Park Rangers
