In a sentence: Brighton go into this game against Leicester looking for just two more wins to take them to the magical 40-point mark.

Betting Tips & Predictions

Leicester City forward Riyad Mahrez returned to form in recent weeks

Brighton won their two meetings against Leicester prior to this season, but the Foxes are a different prospect these days. Saturday’s visitors have since won the Premier League title, and they will feature in plenty of Premier League predictions this weekend.

The Seagulls are 19/10 for the victory, which would edge them ever closer to safety – a superb achievement on their return to the top flight. Chris Hughton’s side are six points above the drop zone, with the teams below them all either facing a tough game or playing each other this weekend.

Leicester are 17/10 to claim the points, as they look to secure a spot in next season’s Europa League. The Foxes have lost their way a little bit since the end of January, but they won their last Premier League fixture at basement club West Brom, and an away win at that price could be one of the stronger football betting tips for the weekend.

The draw is 11/5, and with 10 stalemates apiece this season, both Brighton and Leicester have drawn a third of their matches. Only Southampton and West Brom have played out more draws, so this could be the way to go if you like to base your football score predictions on recent form.

Jamie Vardy is the 9/2 favourite to open the scoring, despite not getting a single touch of the ball after coming on as a substitute for England against Holland. Glenn Murray looks tempting for football predictions at 11/2, while Riyad Mahrez also looks good at 9/1.

Match Summary

Look out for:

Both teams to score at evens. Brighton have only failed to score at home three times this season, while Leicester have plenty of firepower and have found the back of the net 24 times in 15 away games – it looks like one of the safest football predictions going into this fixture.

We fancy:

A 1-1 draw at 11/2. Considering the number of draws both sides have been involved in this season, plus the fact that Leicester have had three 1-1 scorelines in their last five Premier League games, it could be one of the best football betting tips for this game.

It’s a long shot, but:

Brighton are 95/1 to repeat their 4-1 success of four years ago against Leicester. The Foxes have come a long way since then so it’s a brave football prediction, but the Seagulls recently beat Swansea by that score.
