Away West Ham

Match Summary

1 Look out for:

Joao Mario. The new signing from Inter Milan impressed in his first game for the club. A versatile player able to play across the midfield, Mario will be one of West Ham’s main attacking threats and looks tempting at 16/1 to score first.

2 We fancy:

A 1-1 draw with Glenn Murray to score first at 20/1. Murray is Brighton’s key man in front of goal and a draw would be a decent result for both sides.

3 It's a long shot, but…

Leonardo Ulloa to score two or more at 16/1. The new signing from Leicester will be desperate to prove himself, and may get a chance against a weakened West Ham defence.

Brighton's Last Six:

Brighton’s last six: Won: 0 Drawn: 3 Lost: 3

Having just resumed training following a lengthy spell out with a back injury, Steve Sidwell has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with an ankle problem. He joins fellow midfielder, Izzy Brown, on the sidelines, while record signing Jurgen Locadio wont be match fit in time for Sunday’s game, despite rejoining training.

West Ham's Last Six:

West Ham’s last six: Won 2 Drawn: 4 Lost: 0

David Moyes is facing a real injury crisis that has only been made worse by Arthur Masuaku’s six-match ban for spitting at an opponent. Marko Arnautovic, Andre Ayew, Andy Carroll and Edimilson Fernandes all have problems, while Jose Fonte, Manuel Lanzini, Mark Noble, Pedro Obiang and Winston Reid are all out for varying spells of time.

Brighton vs West Ham Betting Tips, Preview & Predictions

Glenn Murray will have to continue finding the net to keep Brighton out of danger as the season draws to its end

Having started the season well, Brighton are sitting just one point clear of the relegation zone, somewhere West Ham have got to know over the course of the season. This game is a must win for the Seagulls, but face a Hammers side in fine form.

Brighton are 5/4 to win, and have only lost at home to Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea so far this season. With West Ham’s decimated squad, they should be able to improve on their last result and will be looking for a win.

West Ham are 23/10 to win, which looking a the sides’ respective form seems strange. Of course, the odds take into account David Moyes’ lack of available first team players, but a lot can be said for momentum, which should keep the Hammers’ confidence high.

A draw is 2/1, and the majority of Brighton’s home results have ended with honours even. Moyes would likely be happy with a point this weekend, and a point for Chris Hughton should keep him free of the drop zone.

Predicted Score: Brighton 1 - 1 West Ham
