Home Brentford

    13/03/2018 Kick Off:  7:45 pm Griffin Park V Predicted Score:0 - 2

    Away Cardiff City

      Match Summary

      1 Look out for:

Counter attacks. Despite their strong league standing, Cardiff have had an average of 10% less possession than Brentford so far this season. This was the case last time the two met, and Warnock’s side still managed to leave with three points.

      2 We fancy:

Under 2.5 goals at 3/4. When Brentford lost they tend to do so by one goal only, so if they play defensively, Cardiff may struggle to get through.

      3 It's a long shot, but…

Barbet to score and Brentford to win at 10/1. The left-back has three goals to his name this season although may have his hands full defending on Tuesday.

      Team News

      Brentford's Last Six:

        Won: 3 Drawn: 1 Lost: 2

Florian Jozefzoon was ruled out of the weekend match with a gash to his foot, and his replacement, Sergi Canos may well start again is his stead. Emiliano Marcondes also started against Millwall, with Neal Maupay hoping to recover his spot on Tuesday.

        Cardiff City's Last Six:

          Won: 6 Drawn: 0 Lost: 0

Craig Bryson added to Cardiff’s extensive injury list, having picked up a knock against Birmingham, with Neil Warnock admitting that fellow midfielder wont be back until after the international break. Gary Medine and Sean Morrison are both in contention to start on Tuesday.

Brentford vs Cardiff City Betting Tips, Preview & Predictions

Brentford routed struggling Birmingham last time out at Griffin Park

The mid-week Championship preview for Brentford v Cardiff sees the Bluebirds travelling to Griffin Park as overwhelming favourites. The Bees have been inconsistent this season, and despite playing well, have failed to convert their chances.

Brentford are 13/10 to win, and will go into the game fuming having lost to Millwall on Saturday, contrary to most weekend football predictions, despite being the dominant side. Their opponents on Tuesday have conceded the fewest goals in the league, and Dean Smith’s side is unlikely to get as many opportunities to score as they did on Saturday, which could impact the football score predictions.

Cardiff are 2/1 to win and their form means they are dominating football betting tips and predictions. With six consecutive wins and four clean sheets they have put league leaders, Wolves, under pressure, and few would bet against them at the moment.

A draw is 5/2 and Cardiff would be unlikely to settle for just one point. For the Bees however, a draw would be a good result, and Smith’s side may set up to defend.

Ollie Watkins is 27/10 to score anytime and has three goals in his last four games. The English attacking midfielder has been Brentford’s best player this season, and will be one of the Bees offensive outlets against Cardiff.

Callum Paterson is 15/2 to score on Tuesday and you’d struggle to find better football score predictions. The midfielder is his side’s second top scorer on seven goals for the season and is in phenomenal form, having scored in his last two games.

Predicted Score: Brentford 0 - 2 Cardiff City
