Match Summary

2 We fancy:

Brazil vs Argentina is always a tough game to call, so a 2-2 draw at 13/1 is a fair pick if you’re looking for football score predictions.

3 It's a long shot, but…

Very rarely is there a rout in this fixture, which is why Argentina to win 3-0 is a long shot at 66/1, especially given their poor showing at the World Cup.

One to Watch: Richarlison

After gaining his first cap and goals for the Selecao recently, the in form Everton man is looking to force his way onto the international stage with Brazil. Even if doesn’t won’t start against Argentina, he will be hoping he can add something from off the bench.

His odds for scoring the first goal are unlikely so there is no point in dedicating any time to that one, but for Richarlison to be involved in a 2-1 Brazil win is priced at 11/2 with Betfair, which is quite a fair price.

The likes of Neymar, Roberto Firmino and Gabriel Jesus are ahead of him in the pecking order but if Brazil boss Tite wants to shuffle the pack around a bit, Richarlison will be front and centre to make his mark.

Marcelo could miss out with a muscle injury but with the exception of him, Brazil are without any injury or suspension worries.

Argentina are likely to line up with a fully-fit side for this one, with no one touted for any injury or suspension worries.

Brazil vs Argentina Football Betting Tips, Preview & Predictions

Neymar is in good form at the moment and could inspire Brazil to victory against Argentina

In what is one of the biggest fixtures in international football, Brazil take on rivals Argentina in the King Abdullah Sports City stadium in Jeddah, a city in Saudi Arabia which will likely cause some controversy. Nevertheless, the world will have an eye on this fixture, which is why it’s important for both teams to put in a good performance and try their best to win the game at all costs.

A Brazil win is at 8/13, a draw is 13/5 and an Argentina win is 15/4, but the big talking point in this game will be how Argentina do without Lionel Messi, who isn’t involved after the 2018 World Cup. Can Mauro Icardi, Paulo Dybala and Lautaro Martinez do the work needed without Messi, and the also absent Sergio Aguero as former West Ham player Lionel Scaloni looks to usher in a new era of Argentinian football?

As for Brazil, they come into this one with good form behind them, scoring nine goals and conceding none in their past three international friendlies against the USA, El Salvador and Saudi Arabia. Granted, the toughest of those three games was probably against a young USMNT side so maybe it isn’t too wise to go off the back of form. However, with a newly inspired Neymar in the best form he’s been in for the past two seasons, Brazil may cause a lot of problems against their great rivals.

Predicted Score: Brazil 2 - 2 Argentina
