Bournemouth vs Crystal Palace Betting Tips, Preview & Predictions

In a sentence: Bournemouth look to consolidate their place in the top half of the table in this Premier League preview, while the threat of relegation is looming large over Crystal Palace.

Last time: Jermain Defoe scored a goal of the season contender when the teams met in December, drawing the Cherries level at 2-2 in first half stoppage time. Neither side could find a winner in the second period of the game at Selhurst Park.

This time: Bournemouth are 6/4 for the win, while Crystal Palace are available at 85/40 and the draw is 12/5.

You might remember: The first time these two teams met in the top flight. As it was a goalless draw in 2015, we hope for a livelier set of football predictions for this encounter.

Betting Tips & Predictions

Eddie Howe has repaid the faith shown in him by Bournemouth, with the Cherries in the top half of the Premier League table ahead of this game against relegation-threatened Crystal Palace

Bournemouth’s form since Christmas means this is no longer the relegation six-pointer it could’ve been. Crystal Palace are still in a lot of danger though, as they bid to beat the drop to the Championship.

The hosts are 6/4 to pick up their 10th win of a campaign which has a great chance of ending with a top half finish. The Cherries have picked up 21 points since Boxing Day, an excellent run which ensures they will feature in next season’s Premier League predictions. It’s some turnaround since the early days of the campaign, and they’re favourites on Saturday.

Palace are best priced at 85/40 to claim what would be a massive three points. Roy Hodsgon’s side have finally come to the end of a run that’s seen them face Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham, Everton and Arsenal in their last nine games, and they need to start getting results against teams like Bournemouth, Brighton, Watford and Stoke over the coming few weeks.

The draw is 12/5 and it’s difficult to tell who it would benefit the most. The two sides have shared the points three times in their last five games against each other. As well as the 2-2 earlier this season, there was a 1-1 and a 2-2 in that run, which doesn’t really help your football score predictions for this weekend.

After his super strike in December, Defoe is the 5/1 favourite to open the scoring in this one. Callum Wilson isn’t too far behind at 21/4, while Zaha and Christian Benteke are both priced at 13/2 for the visitors.

Luka Milivojevic opened the scoring for Palace against Liverpool last weekend with his ninth goal of the season, and the composed penalty taker could be worth a punt at 21/2 to break the deadlock as part of your football betting tips for the weekend.

Predicted Score: Bournemouth 1 - 2 Crystal Palace

Match Summary

Look out for:

Soaring Eagles. There hasn’t been a home win in the five Premier League meetings between these two teams. Palace won 2-0 at the Vitality last season, and they’re 17/1 to repeat the trick in the football score predictions market.

We fancy:

Both teams to score at 3/4. Both sides have a lot to play for coming into this game, and as this bet has paid out on three of the last four occasions the teams have played each other, it could be one of the best football betting tips for this match. A 2-1 Palace win is priced at 11/1.

It's a long shot, but:

You can get odds of 45/1 on Defoe opening the scoring in another 2-2 draw between the sides. If you predict Milivojevic to break the deadlock with the same result come the end of the 90 minutes, the odds double to 90/1.
