Match Summary

1 Look out for:

Goals. Neither side has been great at the back this season, with QPR conceding five more than the eight goals Bolton have let in. Both managers will surely stress this to their players, with a both teams to score bet looking promising at 5/6 with bet365.

2 We fancy:

Bolton to win and both teams to score at 5/1 with bet365. The Trotters are going to need to produce some strong displays with the prospect of losing points if they go into administration, and you can back them to put in a spirited performance here with this bet.

3 It's a long shot, but…

Bolton’s last win against QPR was a 2-1 home victory against the Rs in 2012. It’s always tricky to get football score predictions exactly right, but Phil Parkinson’s side are 9/1 with Paddy Power to repeat that result on Saturday.

One to Watch: Tomer Hemed

Israeli striker Tomer Hemed has a decent record in the Championship, after scoring 30 goals in 73 appearances for Brighton in English football’s second tier. He struggled in the Premier League last term though, only managed two goals.

Hemed has also managed 16 goals in 32 games for his country, and his performances on loan at QPR could be key to the Rs’ chances. He hit a crucial winner against Wigan a few weeks ago, and is 6/1 for the first goal of the game in this one.

Bolton Wanderers vs Queens Park Rangers Betting Tips, Preview & Predictions

Bolton entertain QPR at the University of Bolton Stadium on Saturday afternoon

Bolton’s preparations for this Championship preview have been overshadowed by the news that the club could be plunged into administration, which would result in them being docked 12 points. Hardly ideal as they look to build on a positive start to their campaign against lowly Queens Park Rangers.

Bolton are 47/25 in your Championship predictions, and they somewhat surprisingly start as the underdogs. Even with the prospect of a points deduction, the Wanderers will fancy their chances against this QPR team. Parkinson’s side currently sit eighth in the table, after winning three of their opening six games, tasting defeat just the once.

QPR are 9/5 for the win, as they look to build on a positive result in their last game in your football betting tips for the weekend. A goalless draw at struggling Birmingham City shows how much work Steve McClaren has to do at Loftus Road, but the point was their first on the road, and only their fourth of the campaign.

The stalemate is 23/10 in the football predictions for Saturday’s game, and would be a second draw in a row for both sides. It would probably suit the visitors more, and take the Hoops to four games unbeaten in all competitions. Considering the start they made – including the 7-1 defeat at West Brom – that would be a real sign of progress for McClaren and his players.

With Josh Magennis expected to miss out, QPR pair Tomer Hemed and Nahki Wells are favourites to open the scoring in your football prediction. They’re both priced at 6/1, while Clayton Donaldson is 7/1 for the hosts. Matt Smith is 13/2 in the same market as he goes in search of his first goal of the season.

Predicted Score: Bolton Wanderers 2 - 1 Queens Park Rangers
