2 We fancy:

Birmingham are unbeaten in their last nine Championship matches and Reading have conceded at least two goals in their last three away from home, but they have been finding the net too. Our football prediction is a home win and both teams to score at 3/1 with Paddy Power. Include over 2.5 goals and you create an interesting-looking double at 8/1.

3 It's a long shot, but…

Reading have won on their previous two visits to St Andrew’s and although another success would upset the Championship predictions, the Royals appear to enjoy this trip. One of those games ended 1-0, and a repeat football score prediction here is 21/2 with 888sport.

One to Watch: Lukas Jutkiewicz

The Birmingham forward has five goals in his last two home games and will be looking forward to another match at St Andrew’s. The 29-year-old has been pivotal for his side in recent weeks and this game against Reading provides him with the ideal opportunity to continue his good run of form. Jutkiewicz is worth backing in your Championship predictions, and bet365 is offering 15/8 for him to score anytime.

Birmingham City vs Reading Betting Tips, Preview & Predictions

Will Birmingham continue their rise up the division?

Birmingham City are unbeaten in their last six and will try to make it a hat-trick of wins, but visitors Reading picked up a much-needed three points at the weekend, given them a confidence boost prior to Tuesday night’s game.

This Championship preview covers one of the league’s in-form sides in Birmingham. Garry Monk’s men have collected 12 points from the last 18 available and will be looking to take advantage of an inconsistent Reading.

However, form at St Andrew’s is a concern and despite being undefeated on home soil, they have registered only one win in front of their own fans. That victory did come in their most recent home fixture against Rotherham, making it a platform to build on. Therefore, the Blues start as 3/4 favourites.

After three outings without success, Reading recently collected an important victory over rivals Millwall. Paul Clement’s side are amongst a cluster of teams jostling for position towards the bottom, with Reading in danger of being cut off from those in mid-table. A result here would push them towards the sides in the top half. The Royals have a good recent record here but arrive as outsiders at 17/4.

Reading have drawn three of their six away games this season, while their hosts have tied all but one of their home matches. With that in mind, calling the draw is a football prediction that carries some weight. It is 14/5 for this one to end all square.

Che Adams is favourite to open the scoring at 5/1, with Lukas Jutkiewicz and Omar Bogle both at 11/2.

Predicted Score: Birmingham City 2 - 1 Reading
