In a sentence: Barnsley sit just three points above the drop zone in 21st place and host a Millwall side who are in the hunt for a playoff place.

Last time: The last meeting between these sides at Oakwell Stadium was in League One in January 2016. Sam Winnall put the Tykes in the lead before Steve Morison equalised, Adam Hammill scored the winner in the 67th minute.

This time: Barnsley are 11/5 to win this game, while Millwall are 7/5 and the draw is 21/10.

Betting Tips & Predictions

Will Oakwell still be hosting Championship football next season?

Football predictions in this Sky Bet Championship preview see Millwall looking to gain some ground on the teams sitting ahead of them in the fight to earn a playoff place.

Barnsley have won just three games at home in the Championship this season, drawing seven and losing eight times. They are winless in their last four league matches and have won just twice in their last 15. Millwall had to wait until the 20th of January for their first league away win of the season but they have now won their last five away games, making them one of the more interesting football predictions for today.

Barnsley are 11/5 and have won five of the last seven meetings with Millwall although the Lions did win the last game in the FA Cup in January 4-1. A home win has odds of around 7/1.

Millwall are 7/5 and are unbeaten in their last seven league games but did lose to Barnsley 3-1 in the return game at The Den earlier in the season. A 2-1 win for the Lions is 10/1 and would be one of the more lucrative football betting tips for the weekend.

The draw is 21/10 and there hasn’t been a draw in this fixture since 2011, that was 10 games ago and was a 0-0 draw at The Den. Another 0-0 draw here has odds of 8/1 but that’d be one of the more dour football score predictions going.

Some free football betting tips have Millwall’s top goalscorer Tom Bradshaw at 7/1 to score the first goal of the game. Barnsley’s top scorer George Saville is around 10/1 to net the opening goal.

Lee Gregory of the home side is 2/1 to score anytime during the game while Tim Cahill, who has returned to Millwall, is 5/2 to score at any stage of the match and his name is always likely to come up in Sky Bet Championship predictions.

Predicted Score: Barnsley 2 - 3 Millwall

Match Summary

Look out for:

Ollie McBurnie to hit the net again. The newly called-up Scotland striker has scored six goals in his last seven games and is 7/4 to score during this game. He is 7/1 to score the last goal of the game, worth keeping in mind for football score predictions.

We fancy:

A high scoring match with Millwall to eventually come out on top. Both teams to score is 5/6 while the Match Result and Both Teams to Score bet with Millwall as winners ha odds of around 9/2.

It’s a long shot, but:

The Half time/Full time result of Barnsley/Millwall has odds of 33/1 while Millwall to win from behind is 17/2, and its 7/4 for Millwall to be leading after 60 minutes.
