Match Summary

1 Look out for:

Arsenal’s right wing. In one of many fascinating battles set to occur on Sunday, it is worth keeping an eye on the Gunners’ right channel. Former Real Madrid man Mesut Ozil comes up against former Barca player Lucas Digne, with Hector Bellerin’s tendency to push forward likely to leave space for Richarlison to break into. Likewise, with the Brazilian not keen on tracking back, Ozil and Bellerin’s crosses could be a key asset.

2 We fancy:

Both teams to score. Despite Emery being brought in to toughen up Arsenal’s back line, the north London club have yet to secure a clean sheet this season. Everton have also looked more competent going forward than in defence so it may be a case of which team can outscore the other this weekend.

One to Watch: Richarlison

Everton’s record signing has certainly not had a quiet start to the season, scoring three goals in his opening two games for his new side, before receiving a three-match ban for violent conduct in his third. In the meantime, the former Watford man has gone on to make his international debut for Brazil, then scored twice in his second game for the Selecao.

Questions have been asked regarding Richarlison’s temperament, with his commitment to the Hornets last season in doubt, but there is no doubting the man’s talent, and Everton haven’t looked the same in his absence.

Unai Emery has no new injury concerns to deal with, although he remains without club captain Laurent Koscielny and three senior full-backs. The manager does appear to have settled on his starting XI, fielding both Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in recent games.

Marco Silva will be delighted to welcome back Richarlison, with the Brazilian returning from his three-match ban. Everton’s injury crisis continues however, with Michael Keane, Andre Gomes and James McCarthy out, and Phil Jagielka, Yerry Mina and Seamus Coleman all doubts for the weekend.

Arsenal vs Everton Betting Tips, Preview & Predictions

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be looking for goals as Arsenal take on Everton on Sunday

Arsenal host Everton on Sunday in a bid to win four games on the bounce. The Toffees haven’t started as well as their opponents, and will look to recover from a heavy home defeat to West Ham.

Arsenal are 4/9 to win, and may consider themselves unlucky to have started the season with games as Manchester City and Chelsea, as they have comfortably dispatched their subsequent opponents. The only concern may be through Emery’s decision to field Aubameyang and Ozil on the flanks, with neither player renowned for their defensive abilities.

Everton are 11/2 to win, having done so only once in the league this term. However, with the likes of Richarlison, Jagielka, Mina and Coleman in contention for returns, Silva’s squad could enjoy a leap in quality. With the Toffees lounging in 10th place, two below their finish last season, the new manager needs to step it up quickly to justify his appointment.

Alexandre Lacazette is 3/1 to score first and has clearly won Emery’s favour with Aubameyang being pushed out wide. With Arsenal playing in the Europa League on Thursday however, only one of the two forwards may start on Sunday.

Cenk Tosun is 9/1 to score the first goal, although he has failed to do so despite starting in every one of Everton’s league games. The Turkish forward appeared to have settled in to life in blue by the end of last season, but his drought may be a worrying sign for Silva.

Predicted Score: Arsenal 3 - 2 Everton
