I need to talk to you about something that genuinely rattled my brain a little bit. Webull. Yes, that stock trading app your cousin uses to buy fractional shares of Apple. That Webull just walked into the prediction markets.

I did a full Webull review to see it for myself before I believed a word of it. I signed up, funded an account, and clicked around every corner of Webull like a raccoon in a kitchen, and I came back with a full report. You will not believe what you can put a position on here so settle in.

What is Webull and what is this prediction market thing anyway?

For anyone who just walked in off the street, here is the lowdown before we go anywhere else. Webull is a big name brokerage. We are talking about a real SEC registered broker dealer, a member of FINRA, listed on FINRA BrokerCheck, and a member of the New York Stock Exchange, NASDAQ, and Cboe EDGX. Like you will find in my Moomoo review, most trading platforms live and die by stocks, ETFs, options, charts, and market data.

Webull built its name letting everyday folks trade stocks, ETFs, options, crypto, and futures, but Webull also rolled out prediction markets, and it did it by teaming up with Kalshi. If that name does not ring a bell yet, get familiar, because Kalshi is the first CFTC regulated exchange built specifically for event contracts. That is a big deal.

So what is a prediction market? Think of it like this. You are buying a contract that says Yes or No on whether something happens. Every single contract on this exchange settles at exactly one dollar if you called it right, and zero dollars if you did not. The price you pay to get in floats between one cent and ninety nine cents depending on what the crowd currently believes will happen.

What can you actually do on Webull prediction markets?

Take a closer look at Webull trading features

Okay so before I get into the promotions on Webull, and yes you absolutely need to stick around for that, you have got to see what is available to trade once you open Webull. I went through every corner of this app and I am going to break it down piece by piece so nothing gets lost in translation.

Index hourlies on the S&P 500 and NASDAQ

This is the one that made me sit up straight. Webull built out what it calls Hourlies on the S&P 500 and the NASDAQ. Every single hour, a new contract opens up asking whether the index will land above or below a specific level by a set time. You are not stuck holding until some far off expiration either. You can respond the moment the market moves, take a position, and even exit before the hour is up if the price swings your way or against you.

Crypto hourlies on Bitcoin and Ethereum

Right next to the index contracts sits Crypto hourlies, and this one is built for Bitcoin and Ethereum specifically. Same structure. You are calling whether the price lands above or below a certain level within the hour. Crypto never sleeps and never sits still, so giving traders an hourly window to hedge or just flat out speculate on that volatility is smart. I got a little too into refreshing this section. Watching Ethereum swing a few points and seeing the Yes price shift right in front of me scratched an itch I did not know I had. If you already trade crypto and you like fast decisions, this is going to feel like home immediately.

Fed events

Now this one is for the true macro heads. Webull built out Fed Events so you can put a position on what the Federal Reserve actually does at its upcoming meetings. We are talking contracts on whether rates change, and even annual markets asking how many total rate cuts happen across the year. This is the kind of market that used to live purely in the world of trading desks and financial television, and now it is sitting right in your pocket.

Sports event contracts

Webull built out a full sports prediction markets section, and it runs through basketball, soccer, football, baseball, and tennis, with a live tab showing whatever is happening right now. I watched a World Cup match sitting right there with a live probability split, one side at thirty two percent and the other at sixty eight percent, moving in real time as the game played out. That line moves with every big moment.

You are trading a live, market based price the entire time, which means you can exit your position early if things start looking ugly, instead of just sweating it out helplessly. There are three main shapes these contracts take. Single game contracts cover things like the winner, the spread, total points, and player props. Futures contracts cover season long or championship outcomes like who wins it all. Combo contracts let you stack multiple outcomes into a single contract. I found markets on everything from PGA Tour winners to esports titles like League of Legends and Counter Strike, which honestly surprised me in the best way.

Culture event contracts

This is the section where Webull lets you put your money where your opinions are, and if you are the person who always calls the Grammy winner before the envelope opens, this is for you. I found contracts on award show winners, music chart positions, movie and TV ratings, and video game releases, all sitting there waiting for a Yes or No. It is not as stacked as Sports yet, but it updates constantly as headlines and chart numbers move.

Climate event contracts

Now here is one I did not expect to enjoy as much as I did. Climate. I know, I know, weather contracts sound boring on paper, but Webull has a category where you can trade on measurable outcomes tied to temperature, hurricanes, and rainfall.

I found contracts asking whether a specific city hits a certain temperature by a set date, how many hurricanes touch down in a given state this season, and how much rain falls in a set window. The category is smaller than Sports or Crypto for sure, but for anyone who already doom scrolls the weather radar during hurricane season, this gives you a reason to do something about it.

As of right now, Webull's prediction markets build out is centered on financial indexes, crypto, Fed decisions, sports, culture, and climate. I did not find a dedicated politics contract category live on the platform yet. Given how fast Webull is expanding, with a Now Available badge sitting right on the crypto and Fed section, I would not be shocked to see more categories land down the road. That said, read my ROLR review to discover other prediction markets.

Is there a Webull bonus for new users?

Yes. And I did not expect it to be this straightforward. When you sign up and fund a new Webull account with $500 or more, you get $20 worth of fractional shares dropped straight into your account, plus one full month of Webull Premium at no charge. I walked through the sign up process myself and it tracked your progress the entire way, showing you signed up, opened, and deposited as little checkpoints, so you always knew exactly where you stood in the process.

This is the current account wide funding promotion Webull runs for new clients opening and funding a brokerage account, not a reward tied specifically to placing your first prediction market trade. Once your account is open and funded, the Premium subscription you unlock adds real value beyond just prediction markets too, things like advanced charting tools and deeper market data, which happen to make trading these Hourlies contracts even better since you get the same professional grade charts applied to event trading.

The only real drawback I found is that you do need to clear that $500 funding threshold to unlock the full $20 in fractional shares plus the Premium month. You can see more of this in my Webull promo code guide.

Usability, look and feel: How does it actually feel to use this thing?

What is a good trading app if the interface fights you every step of the way? I spent real time poking around this site beyond just the prediction markets landing page. I went into the markets themselves, I hunted down the FAQ sections, and I clicked into different contract categories just to see how everything connected.

The whole thing runs on a dark theme, and I mean a proper deep black background with clean white and blue accents that makes numbers pop instead of blending into a mess. When you pull up an Hourlies chart, you get a live line tracking the index price right alongside the current Yes and No pricing sitting in little colored buttons underneath, blue for one side and pink for the other. It is a small touch but it makes deciding which side to take instant instead of confusing.

One quirk that stood out to me was how Webull handles the order entry screen for these event contracts. It looks almost identical to a standard stock order ticket, with a Buy and Sell toggle, limit price entry, contract quantity, and time in force settings. That is smart design honestly, because if you already know how to place a stock trade on Webull, you already know how to place an event contract trade. There is no separate learning curve bolted onto the side. The FAQ accordions scattered through the prediction markets pages are also useful. They actually answer real questions like trading hours and how contracts settle without making you dig through a wall of legal text first.

Is there a Webull mobile app? How does it hold up?

There absolutely is an app, sitting on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, and I spent a good chunk of time inside it comparing it against the desktop browser version. The prediction markets pages even drop a QR code straight on the desktop site that says Scan To Get Started, which tells you Webull clearly wants this whole experience to live on your phone.

I was honestly impressed. The mobile order ticket mirrors the desktop one almost exactly, showing your side, order type, limit price, contract count, and an estimated total debit before you confirm anything, so there is no guessing what you are about to pay. Beyond the basic order screen, you get access to the same order book data on mobile that you would get on desktop, letting you see bid and ask depth for a contract before you commit.

What payment methods are accepted on Webull?

Funding your account is handled through a few different channels, and I checked each one against what Webull actually confirms.

ACH transfers are the most common route and they are free to use. According to Webull, ACH deposits take between three and five full business days to fully clear, while ACH withdrawals take about two full business days on their end.

As a courtesy, Webull grants clients provisional buying power up to $1,000 while an ACH deposit is still settling, so you are not just sitting there frozen waiting on your bank. Webull notes that incoming domestic wires run an $8 fee while international wires run $12.50, both of which are charged by the bank handling the transfer rather than by Webull itself.

I did not see any indication that specific payment methods are excluded from the new account funding bonus, but the $500 threshold applies regardless of which method you use to get there, so plan your deposit accordingly.

MethodDepositsWithdrawalsWhat I found
ACH bank transferYesYesACH transfers are free. ACH limit is $50,000 daily. Failed ACH transfers can trigger a $5 reversal fee.
Debit cardYesYesDebit-card deposits may have a 2-business-day hold before funds become withdrawable.
Wire transferYesYes
  • Domestic wires usually take 1–2 business days.
  • International wires may take up to 5 business days.
  • Incoming domestic wire fee is $8.
  • Incoming international wire fee is $12.50.
  • Returned outgoing wires may cost $30.

How does Webull customer service hold up?

Nobody reaches out to customer support because everything is going great. You reach out because something is confusing or something broke, and you want an answer fast. So I looked around the app and the help center pretty thoroughly and I did not find a live chat option but I did find a proper support email, and a listed phone line. So I sent an email at 9:30am in the morning on a Thursday with a straightforward question about how event contracts settle, just to see how the response held up under a normal business day scenario. Unfortunately, I didn't get a response on the same day.

Waiting on an email response instead of getting instant back and forth through a chat window is not my favorite way to get answers when something is urgent, especially with contracts that can settle within the hour. That is the one honest drawback I will flag here. That said, the help center itself is stacked with detailed FAQ pages that actually answer most common questions upfront, covering everything from account setup to trading hours to settlement details, so a lot of the time you will find your answer before you even need to send that email.

License and security: Is Webull legit?

Absolutely yes, and this is not me just taking their word for it. Webull Financial LLC is a broker dealer registered with the SEC, and it is a member of FINRA, which you can independently verify through FINRA BrokerCheck. Webull's own site links directly to its BrokerCheck firm summary. It is also a member of the New York Stock Exchange, NASDAQ, and Cboe EDGX Exchange, and client securities accounts carry SIPC protection up to $500,000 with a quarter million of that covering cash specifically. Webull also states it carries excess SIPC coverage on top of that baseline through its clearing relationships, extending protection well beyond the standard limit.

Now specifically for the prediction markets piece, the event contracts themselves trade through Kalshi, which is the first CFTC regulated exchange built for prediction markets. Trades clear through Kalshi Klear LLC, the clearing exchange sitting behind these contracts. That is a reassuring structure. You are not trading against some unregulated offshore book, you are trading cash collateralized contracts on a CFTC regulated exchange, accessed through a FINRA member broker dealer. When I signed up, seeing those specific regulator names spelled out clearly gave me real confidence that this is a serious, above board operation.

Is there a rewards or loyalty program on Webull?

I went looking for a dedicated VIP club or points based loyalty program specifically, and I did not find one live on the platform right now. What Webull does offer instead is that account funding promotion I already walked you through, the $20 in fractional shares plus a free month of Premium when you fund a new account with $500 or more.

Webull Premium itself functions as an ongoing subscription benefit rather than a tiered loyalty ladder, unlocking things like enhanced market data and charting tools that apply across the whole platform, prediction markets included. If Webull rolls out something more structured down the road I will absolutely come back and update this, but as of today, the value sits in the fee format and the funding bonus rather than a points system. If you are comparing promotions across trading apps, read my Moomoo promo code guide.

Final verdict: Should you trade prediction markets on Webull?

Here is where I pull all of this together for you. You can trade prediction markets right now on Webull, covering index Hourlies on the S&P 500 and NASDAQ, Crypto Hourlies on Bitcoin and Ethereum, Fed Events tracking the Federal Reserve's next moves, a large sports lineup running 24/7 across basketball, soccer, football, baseball, tennis, and more, plus dedicated Culture and Climate markets.

This all runs through a CFTC regulated exchange in Kalshi, accessed through a FINRA member broker dealer that has been building trust with everyday traders for years already. You've got low flat fees, no pattern day trading restrictions, and the ability to get started with less than a dollar of capital. If you are ready to see it for yourself, check the on-page banners for the current sign up offer and get your account open.

FAQs on Webull prediction market site

What are the trading hours for Webull prediction markets?

Index event contracts on the S&P 500 and NASDAQ generally run from eight in the morning to four in the afternoon Eastern time. Crypto event contracts on Bitcoin and Ethereum run on a wider window, generally eight in the morning to six in the evening Eastern time. Sports event contracts are the outlier in the best way, generally available twenty four hours a day, seven days a week.

How much money do I need to start trading on Webull prediction markets?

One of the more surprising things I found is that there is no real minimum balance requirement to start trading event contracts on Webull. You genuinely just need enough capital to cover the price of the specific contract you want, plus the small per contract transaction fee, which sits at two cents per executed order. That means you could technically get started with less than a dollar.

Is Webull safe and properly regulated for prediction market trading?

Yes, and this is one area where Webull checks every box. Webull Financial LLC is a broker dealer registered with the SEC and is a member of FINRA, the New York Stock Exchange, NASDAQ, and Cboe EDGX Exchange. Client accounts carry SIPC protection, with Webull also noting excess SIPC coverage on top of the standard limits through its clearing arrangements.
