No dedicated prediction markets bonus yet
Prediction market platforms rarely compete through massive welcome offers. Instead, they focus on providing conditions that promote efficient trading. Sleeper follows the same approach.
You only get the fantasy welcome offer
There wasn’t a dedicated Team Picks welcome offer at the time of writing. Instead, new customers can claim the existing Player Picks welcome bonus, but a Sleeper Markets promo code isn’t needed to do this. The offer includes a 100% first deposit match of up to $100, plus a free entry for eligible fantasy contests. I also like the simple 1x playthrough requirement, which is easier than many competing fantasy promotions. Better still, you only need one Sleeper account to access both Player Picks and Team Picks.
No ongoing promotions
Once you’ve claimed the welcome offer, there isn’t much else to chase. Sleeper doesn’t currently offer reload bonuses, cashback promotions, VIP rewards, or prediction market-specific incentives. While that may disappoint bonus hunters, it isn’t unusual for federally regulated prediction market platforms. Most compete through market quality, liquidity, and competitive trading fees instead of generous promotions. I’d expect occasional event-based campaigns or referral offers to appear as Sleeper continues expanding Team Picks, but nothing has been announced yet.
Getting started only a few minutes
Getting started with Sleeper Markets couldn’t be much easier, especially if you’ve already used the Sleeper app before. I created an account, completed the required verification, and reached the Team Picks section without any confusing steps. Here’s exactly how registration works and what you should expect before placing your first prediction.
You can register and verify your identity in just a few steps
Creating an account only took a few minutes. Here’s how the process worked for me during my Sleeper Markets review:
- Select Sign Up and enter your email address, username, password, and date of birth.
- Verify your email using the confirmation code sent to your inbox.
- Download the Sleeper app and sign in with your new account.
- Complete identity verification by providing your Social Security number and answering the required suitability questions.
- Once approved, deposit funds and start browsing Team Picks markets immediately.
Even with the extra checks, onboarding is smooth. Every step is clearly explained, and you don’t have to feel unsure about what to do next.
Finding Team Picks is easy once you’re inside the app
The Picks tab sits at the bottom of the navigation bar, making it impossible to miss. From there, switching between Player Picks and Team Picks only takes a tap. Sports appear across the top of the screen, while featured markets fill the homepage below. I also liked the live filters, which help you quickly narrow available events. The search function also works well whenever you want a specific league or matchup.
You can monitor, sell, or hold your position
Prediction markets don't end when you buy a contract. Your position remains active throughout the life of the market. After purchasing a contract, it appears in your open positions, where you can follow the action as prices move. As market sentiment changes, contract prices rise and fall to reflect the latest probabilities.
If the market moves in your favor, you can sell before settlement to lock in a profit. Likewise, selling early can also reduce potential losses if confidence shifts against your prediction. Of course, you're free to hold your position until the market settles.
The interface feels polished, although it can become busy
Sleeper has one of the slickest-looking sports prediction apps I’ve used. The dark theme, large buttons, and clear market cards make everything easy to read. Prices, probabilities, and potential returns appear before confirming a trade, reducing surprises.
Navigation also feels responsive, with pages loading almost instantly during testing. The only drawback is the amount of content packed into one app. Fantasy leagues, news feeds, chats, and prediction markets all fight for screen space, making the interface feel slightly crowded for first-time users.
Sports dominate the current market selection
Sleeper Markets currently focuses entirely on sports prediction markets, which makes sense considering the platform’s fantasy sports roots. Unlike what you’d find in my Moomoo review, here you won’t find contracts covering elections, inflation, cryptocurrencies, or entertainment headlines just yet.
Trade Predictions on Almost Every Major Sport
Every prediction market on Sleeper Markets currently revolves around sports. You’ll find contracts covering the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, WNBA, college football, college basketball, soccer, tennis, golf, MMA, boxing, motorsports, cricket, rugby, and even esports. Markets are grouped by sport before narrowing into individual matchups and available contracts. That layout makes browsing straightforward, even during busy weekends.
Every Contract Reflects Real-Time Market Opinion
Sleeper Team Picks allows you to buy contracts linked to a specific outcome. Each contract trades between $0.01 and $0.99, reflecting the crowd's view of the likely outcome. Sleeper presents those prices as percentages alongside potential payout multipliers, making them easier to understand. For example, buying 100 contracts priced at $0.28 costs $28 before fees. If your prediction proves correct, those contracts settle at $1 each. You can also sell before settlement if market prices move in your favor or you decide to reduce your potential loss.
There’s No Shortage of New Markets Throughout the Day
There’s no shortage of available contracts, with major leagues generating multiple markets covering outright winners, point spreads, and game totals. Prices update continuously as traders react to injuries, breaking news, and changing expectations. That creates active markets before games begin and throughout live events where available. As you’d expect, liquidity varies between marquee games and smaller competitions.
Everything Hints at More Prediction Markets in the Future
If you’re looking to trade politics, entertainment, finance, weather, and crypto markets, you’ll be happy to know that Sleeper has confirmed that additional Kalshi-powered categories are planned for future updates.
Team Picks and Player Picks may share an app, but they work differently
At first glance, Team Picks and Player Picks look similar because they sit inside the same Sleeper app. But as I found in my Sleeper Markets review, they play by different rules, regulations, and settlement processes.
Team Picks are prediction markets, while Player Picks are DFS
Player Picks is Sleeper’s daily fantasy sports product, where you predict whether individual athletes finish above or below specific statistical lines. Team Picks, on the other hand, is a CFTC-regulated prediction market powered by Kalshi. Instead of player statistics, you trade event contracts based on team outcomes, spreads, and totals. The two products also operate under different regulatory frameworks. Although they share the same app and account, you can’t combine Team Picks and Player Picks on a single entry.
The different formats suit different types of sports fans
The biggest difference appears after you submit your picks. Player Picks follows the familiar DFS format, with payouts based on the number of correct selections in your entry. Team Picks uses prediction market contracts that settle at $1 if your chosen outcome occurs or $0 if it doesn’t. Existing Sleeper users don’t need a separate account because both products sit under the same login. If you enjoy researching player performances, Player Picks may suit you better. If you prefer trading team outcomes, Team Picks offers a different experience.
The social experience sets Sleeper apart
Few prediction market platforms place the same emphasis on community. Sleeper includes league chat, direct messaging, notifications, and social feeds that keep you connected before, during, and after games. You can discuss matchups, celebrate winning predictions, or debate upcoming fixtures without leaving the app. Push notifications also keep you informed about league activity, market updates, and important account events. Those features create a more engaging experience than many standalone predictions market platforms, which focus almost entirely on trading.
Full Sleeper Markets package via mobile app
Unlike many prediction market platforms, Sleeper Markets is fully accessible using a mobile app. The desktop website mainly introduces the product and directs you to the App Store or Google Play. Once installed, you’ll complete everything else from your phone, including trading, account management, and withdrawals.
The desktop site simply points you toward the mobile app
The Sleeper Markets desktop site provides product information, support resources, and download links for iOS and Android. You can learn about Team Picks before signing up, but you can’t trade contracts or browse live markets, chart layouts, watchlists, or customization tools.
The mobile app makes prediction trading quick and straightforward
Everything you need sits inside the existing Sleeper mobile app, so there’s no separate download for Team Picks. Markets are clearly organized, and switching between fantasy contests and prediction markets only takes a tap.
During testing, I found that navigation is responsive, and prices update without noticeable delays. Pages load quickly, and account balances, open positions, and completed trades are all easy to find. That mobile app has push notifications to help you keep track of account activity and important updates.
Installing the app takes a few minutes
- Click our banners to visit the Sleeper website, then follow the download link for your device.
- Install the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Sign in or create your account, then complete identity verification if prompted.
- Deposit funds and open the Team Picks section to begin trading.
Simple deposits and competitive trading fees
Funding your account is straightforward, although your payment options are more limited than those in my Coinbase review. That restriction is fairly common among federally regulated prediction markets, though, so it’s to be expected. The good news is that deposits are quick and the fees are transparent.
Fund your account in seconds
Sleeper Markets accepts debit cards, online bank transfers, and Apple Pay when linked to a debit card. Credit cards, PayPal, Venmo, and other digital wallets aren’t currently supported. Deposits land almost instantly, allowing you to start trading without waiting for funds to clear. Sleeper doesn’t advertise a minimum deposit specifically for Team Picks, but since you can use the same funds across all products, the $10 DFS minimum deposit applies.
The flat trading fee is easy to understand
Every executed trade carries a flat $0.02 fee per contract. Half goes to Sleeper, while the remaining $0.01 goes to Kalshi, which operates the underlying exchange. The fee applies when you buy contracts and again if you sell before settlement. Compared with other prediction market platforms, the pricing is competitive and easy to understand. If you’re a casual trader, you won’t likely notice the cost on smaller positions. More active traders just need to factor in the fees before entering or exiting contracts.
Withdrawals within three business days
You can withdraw funds to your linked debit card or bank account. The first withdrawal requires Know Your Customer checks, including verifying your identity and personal information, before funds are released. Most withdrawals arrive within one to three business days, depending on your payment method and financial institution. I never encountered unexpected delays during my Sleeper Markets review, and user reviews generally don’t point to withdrawal delays being a thing at this predictions platform.
Live chat provides the quickest route to help
Support isn’t something you usually think about until something goes wrong. Fortunately, Sleeper offers several ways to get answers, with live chat being the fastest option. I tested both the support experience and the available self-service resources as part of my Sleeper Markets review to see how well they handle prediction market questions.
Live chat connects you with a real person in minutes
Live chat is available directly through the app after working through the automated Sleeper Bot. I found the chatbot useful for simple account questions, although it runs out of answers when dealing with trading or settlement issues. Reaching a live agent took about three minutes during my test, which is faster than many competitors. And once I was connected, the agent clearly explained how I could fix the account verification issue I was stuck with.
The help center answers many common questions
If your issue isn’t urgent, email support is another option. Sleeper also has a searchable help center that covers payments, fees, verification, and prediction market rules. I also like that the help center has active community spaces where traders discuss features and updates. Those conversations aren’t official help channels, but they often provide useful solutions before you contact support.
Sleeper Markets is CFTC-regulated
Trust matters whenever real money is involved, and I was happy to find that Sleeper Markets follows strict security and compliance standards.
Team Picks operates under Federal oversight
Sleeper Markets operates through a partnership with Kalshi, a federally regulated prediction market exchange overseen by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). That partnership allows Sleeper to offer Team Picks as regulated event contracts. The platform is available in most US states, although availability varies because some jurisdictions have challenged sports prediction markets. That means you should confirm availability before attempting to download and trade on the app.
Strong security features protect your account
Sleeper uses SSL encryption to protect information sent between your device and its servers. You’ll also complete identity verification before accessing regulated prediction markets or requesting your first withdrawal. Similar to what I found in my DraftKings Predictions review, two-factor authentication adds extra protection to your account and trading balance. Sleeper Markets also has responsible trading tools, including voluntary deposit limits, cooling-off periods, and self-exclusion options if you need them.
Most users praise the app, but they want more markets
Sleeper has great ratings on both the Apple App Store and Google Play, with most users praising its clean interface, responsive performance, and integrated fantasy sports features. Many also appreciate having fantasy contests and prediction markets inside a single app. The most common negative reviews are in areas that I noticed, too. Users would like desktop trading, a dedicated Team Picks bonus, and broader prediction market categories beyond sports. Others also mention that the app can feel crowded because it combines so many features into one platform.
Built-in tools help you trade responsibly
Prediction markets should be enjoyable, but they also involve some risk. Sleeper includes several responsible trading features that help you manage your activity before it becomes a problem.
You stay in control of your account
Sleeper allows you to set voluntary deposit limits that restrict how much money you add over daily, weekly, or monthly periods. If you need a break, you can activate a cooling-off period that temporarily prevents further trading. Longer-term self-exclusion options are also available for users who want to step away completely. I like that these controls are available within your account settings instead of requiring you to contact customer support, which makes them easier to use whenever your circumstances change.
Understanding the risks is just as important
Prediction markets aren’t guaranteed to win, no matter how much research you do. Contract prices move constantly as new information reaches the market, meaning positions can gain or lose value before settlement. Even experienced traders won’t predict every outcome correctly. Because of that, you should only trade money you can comfortably afford to lose. Sleeper also provides educational resources explaining how prediction markets work, helping newer users understand pricing, settlement, and risk before placing their first trade.
A promising prediction platform
Sleeper Markets expands one of America’s most popular fantasy sports apps into regulated prediction markets. That means it suits sports fans who want a simple mobile trading experience without learning a completely new platform.
There’s no desktop access, and markets are limited to sports, which may disappoint some users. However, the competitive fees, broad sports coverage, and a partnership with Kalshi more than compensate. If you already use Sleeper, adding Team Picks feels like a natural next step. When you’re ready to get started, use the banners on this page to sign up with Sleeper and make your first trade.
