With plenty to offer for both casino and sports bettors, ScandiBet were recognised as a betting site with a bright future, having been given the award in 2017 for the ‘Fastest Growing White Label’ at the Malta Gaming Awards.

However, despite this recognition, ScandiBet are still yet to really take off in terms of reaching out to a global betting audience.

A key reason behind this is that under their current gambling licence with the Malta Gaming Authority, they are severely restricted in which areas they can offer services. They have managed to collect important sponsorships, though!

ScandiBet Offers and Bonuses

As a betting site that is relatively new to the gambling scene, ScandiBet have realised the importance of providing offers and promotions for new and current customers.

To draw in new punters, they have a couple of really enticing welcome offers.

For casino players, ScandiBet give new players four days of bonuses worth up to €800 as well as 200 free spins, as long as €30 is deposited.

Sports fans are also well catered for, with a €30 deposit giving punters the chance to win up to €100 extra in bonuses.

Current ScandiBet customers aren’t left out either, with an array of daily and weekly specials and promotions for both the casino and the sportsbook, while the ‘Refer A Friend’ is also a nice touch.

This particular feature involves a player being rewarded with €30 for every friend they get to join the betting site.

Personality is something that ScandiBet scores highly in and their promotions look to embrace their Viking theme.

Their ‘Viking Breakfast’ for example is one of their feature promotions, involving placing a deposit of €30 between 6am and noon, to receive a €20 boost and taking your funds up to €50.

The only downside to the promotions and bonuses on offer is their availability.

With the constraints imposed from the Malta Gaming Authority, many players from around the world can’t access these offers due to conditions of ScandiBet’s gambling licence. Offers are a great way to attract new bettors, but if you can’t actually take advantage of what is on offer, punters will be forced to look elsewhere which feels somewhat of a shame.

ScandiBet Interface

In an age where many sportsbooks look a bit too similar, it is nice to see a bit of originality and creativity.

ScandiBet have done precisely that with their site, delivering a strong Viking theme for the imagery, which definitely injects a bit of personality to proceedings.

It isn’t too overbearing, with the sections for casino, live casino, sports and live betting all very user-friendly, incorporating a layout that makes all the betting features very accessible.

Sportsbooks such as Betway are a good example of getting the line between the classic and new styles of online betting just right and ScandiBet definitely fit into that category.

When you delve into their sportsbook, there is a nice mixture of their branding, but also being able to easily find what you are looking for.

Feature sporting events are placed at the top of the page to immediately catch your eye, while the available sports to bet on are on the left-hand side.

On the right-hand side, users can find a great little feature called ‘Quick Bets’. With this, ScandiBet will put up recommended bets for you to follow, such as a treble involving three favourites from three different leagues.

ScandiBet’s casino pages are equally strong, with lots of use of colour and big offers to grab your attention.

For a site that has only been around for a year or so, it is very impressive.

ScandiBet Mobile App: N/A

No mobile app could be found during the time of writing and is clearly an area that may need addressing to help ScandiBet take the next step.

ScandiBet are one of the strongest betting sites in Scandinavia, delivering customers a great selection of casino games and sports markets. They have offers to suit both casino and sport bettors while loyal customers are rewarded with daily and weekly specials. However, limited access to the site dampens the overall appeal, with many bettors unable to check out what is on offer.

  • Over 500 different slots available for casino players while for sports bettors, ScandiBet deliver odds and live-betting on over 20,000 betting events a month.
  • New players are rewarded with four days of casino bonuses worth up to €800 whilst current customers are rewarded with €30 for every friend they get to join the site.
  • Restrictions imposed from the Malta Gaming Authority mean players from areas such as the UK are unable to access ScandiBet.

ScandiBet Banking and Withdrawal

As banking technology continues to evolve, it is very important that betting sites can adapt to the changing demands of their customers.

ScandiBet are well prepared in this case, providing a range of different methods for both deposits and withdrawals.

Cards are accepted with Visa and Mastercard, as well as bank transfers.

There are also a decent selection of e-wallets including Neteller and Skrill, whilst there are some more niche methods such as Interac, Ecopayz, and Giropay.

In terms of times for withdrawals, ScandiBet are on par with most sportsbooks.

Cards take the usual two to five working days, bank transfers can take up to three working days and e-wallet take 24 hours or less.

ScandiBet Customer Satisfaction

Despite only being launched in 2017, ScandiBet have a good reputation within the areas that they are licensed to offer betting services to.

Part of that is down to their customer service, which is available 24/7.

Users have a couple of options to get in contact with ScandiBet if they have any betting queries, with the live chat service the most responsive.

Their customer service team are friendly and act quickly to get issues resolved as quickly and smoothly as possible.

In addition to the live chat service, the sportsbook can be contacted by email or post, whilst they also provide a rather detailed FAQ section, perfect for answering more basic betting queries.

A slight negative is a lack of a phone number to contact, a feature that most other betting sites do include in their customer service options.

ScandiBet Licence and Security

They are operated by Bethard Group Limited, a company who are licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority, and have plenty of experience of running online sportsbooks.

Betting Markets with ScandiBet

With the help of the award-winning software platform provider SBTech, ScandiBet offer odds and live-betting on over 2,000 different markets and deliver over 20,000 betting events a month.

Their sportsbook is comprehensive in not just the variety of sports it delivers, but also the depth of its markets.

With 30 different sports to bet on, including special markets, punters are spoilt for choice, though for horse racing fans, they will be disappointed to see it as an absentee.

Despite that, football is certainly the dominant sport in the sportsbook. Players can bet on feature matches in the Champions League to amateur league matches in Sweden, with games featuring special markets such as a team to miss a penalty.

In addition to that, there is also a great feature called ‘Price Boost’, where punters can access a range of enhanced odds on different sports on a daily basis.

These sort of betting markets are usually found on much more established sportsbooks such as William Hill, so it is a major plus for ScandiBet to have followed suit.

If sports aren’t your thing, ScandiBet also provide a brilliant casino. They have over 500 slot machines from some of the most well-known game providers such as Netent, iSoftBet, MicroGaming and QuickSpin.

ScandiBet also offer a strong range of jackpot games, a thrilling live casino and some of the old favourites with Blackjack and Roulette.

With so much choice for both their sportsbook and casino, there is a strong case to be put forward from ScandiBet to become a real alternative to the likes of Paddy Power.

ScandiBet Content (Live Streaming, Audio, Radio, Blogs, Previews)

Blogs, betting previews, tipster columns and audio/video content are all becoming more of a regular feature on sportsbooks and betting sites.

Not only do they help inform customers, they also increase engagement.

ScandiBet provide their own additional content in the form of a regular blog, giving the latest news updates from the casino world as well as delivering tips for sports events.

However, compared to the likes of Unibet and BetBright, they lack the same level of style and detail. There isn’t anything majorly wrong, they just look a bit dull.

A lack of live streaming is also a negative in the content stakes, with players unable to watch live sport on the site to accompany in-play betting.

Sportsbooks such as William Hill have invested heavily in being able to broadcast live sport to their customers, as they can see the value it brings in drawing bettors to their site.

ScandiBet are yet to follow suit, and as a result, the in-play betting service they have to offer can’t match up with those that do show live sport.

ScandiBet In-Play

When it comes to live betting, ScandiBet have plenty to offer punters with their in-play betting for sport.

Football, tennis, basketball are all covered extensively regarding their live markets, as well as some decent options for more niche events such as e-sports.

All the expected markets are clear to see, with outrights and handicaps, as well as facilities such as ‘Cash Out’, that give customers control in deciding whether to close a placed game early or not.

However, there is a lack of live specials and enhanced odds for in-play events, which is a feature that the likes of Bet365 do offer for their customers.

In addition, a lack of live streaming means that if you want to watch a sporting event and bet on it at the same time, you will have to look for another betting site to provide that service.

ScandiBet do include live graphics for all their in-play events, displaying live stats as well as updates detailing what is happening.

However, with a number of betting sites raising the stakes in terms of what they can offer in-play bettors, ScandiBet have a bit of work to do to close the gap.

ScandiBet Stats & Form

It is becoming a more common feature for sportsbooks and betting sites to provide access to stats and form guides for their customers.

Many use reputable providers such as Betrader, who supply information on a wide range of sports.

ScandiBet are one of the sportsbooks to use that particular service.

The stats on offer may not be unique as they can be found elsewhere, but punters know that it is information they can trust.

From stats about the average amount of goals scored in a particular football league, to the number of wickets taken in a specific Test match, bettors have a vast amount of information at their deposal.

With a simple and clear layout, the stats pages are very user-friendly and allow users to find what they are looking for quickly.

The same service may be available on a number of other betting sites such as Bethard, but it is a useful tool to have nonetheless.

ScandiBet Overall

With a strong personality and plenty to offer, ScandiBet have a product that has real potential to become a big player in the European betting scene.

They have a casino that offers the most popular titles, a sportsbook with a plethora of sports to bet on, enticing offers to grab your attention and a customer service available 24/7.

It is just unfortunate that for many punters from around the globe, they are unable to take advantage of what is on offer due to the licence ScandiBet operates under.

As a relatively new betting site, they need to appeal to as many bettors as possible for the brand to grow, and at present, they are struggling to do that.

However, for those who do have access to ScandiBet, they have a lot to enjoy.

There are a few areas that need updating, such as introducing live streaming, but having seen the progress made so far, there is no doubt that those small issues will be rectified sooner rather than later.
