Plus 500 Review & Ratings 2026: Is Plus 500 Legit or Scam?

Plus500 is a shiny new prediction trading platform that covers more than 15 popular event categories, from politics and sports to crypto, commodities and even the weather. And today, my Plus 500 review will explore the whole lot.

Do I think the site’s any good? Well, with competitive market coverage and a “trade $10, get $20” welcome bonus available, yes. But buying and selling event contracts with Plus500 does carry risks. And as you might expect, the site has its pros and its cons. Here are my thoughts on Plus500’s background, payment methods, promotions and more.

First up - what is Plus500? And where can you access it from?

Plus500 is a prediction trading platform that offers opportunities to buy and sell binary “yes” and “no” contracts tied to real-world potential event outcomes. Prices fluctuate depending on the market, but correct contracts always settle at $1 each, while incorrect ones close at $0.

Much as I found in my latest ADI PredictStreet review, Plus500 covers all sorts of event categories, including sports, politics and many, many more. While it also offers multiple choice and range-based contracts, in addition to its simpler yes/no ones, too.

So far, so good. But how does the site score on availability? Well, currently I found that most of Plus500’s prediction markets are available in 45 US states. And that’s because:

  • Its prediction markets are offered through a Commodity and Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) registered platform.
  • The brand partners with Kalshi, offering access to CFTC regulated event contracts on their exchange, too.

Ultimately, this means you can currently access and trade event contracts with Plus500 from anywhere in the US, so long as you’re 18 or over. However, it’s important to note that the availability of certain markets can vary from one state to the next, and be subject to unexpected changes. This is especially true of sports prediction markets - which I found are sometimes geo-blocked for some users.

Generally though, Plus500’s prediction markets are widely available. And the site has a solid 4.2-star TrustPilot rating, too. While I found Plus500’s site is SSL secure, and supports many trusted payment options. Although of course, it is important to remember that buying and selling event contracts is always risky here - particularly if you plan on purchasing multiple contracts at once.

Must-knows about payment options and fees

Let’s review those trusted payment methods I mentioned. As it stands, the site supports debit cards with a $10 minimum limit, or wire transfer with a much higher $200 minimum. Although credit cards and prepaid cards sadly aren’t accepted.

On the upside, no fees are charged on deposits. Although if you’re starting to think you might want to sign up with Plus 500, you should be aware that commission fees and other charges may apply to your actual trades. The latest T&Cs state that every prediction market contract has a $0.01 commission and a $0.01 exchange fee. While an NFA regulatory fee of $0.02 per side and per contract also applies.

Last but not least, I found that withdrawals incur processing fees, too. These currently sit at 1.75% of your requested withdrawal amount. Although to be fair, this is pretty competitive when compared against other prediction trading platforms. As is Plus500’s market coverage.

Available prediction markets - sports, politics, weather and more

There are more than 15 individual event categories covered by Plus500 at the time of writing. Although the availability of some markets may vary between different US states - and can be subject to change at short notice, too.

As it stands, though, I’m happy to hand out top Plus 500 ratings here for coverage. As most traders can currently buy and sell yes/no contracts, and multiple choice ones, across the all the following popular categories, and more:

Prediction trading market offeredPopular sub-categoriesExample event contract
PoliticsElections, congress, recurring, Trump, and more“Who will be Trump’s next Press Secretary?”
SportsPro Football, Big League Baseball, tennis, cricket, golf and more“2027 Pro Football champion?”
FinanceEconomics, companies, M&A, commodities and more“Will the S&P finish positive this year?”
CryptoBitcoin, Solana, Ethereum and more“How high will ETH get in September?”
Climate and weatherDaily temperatures, climate change, hurricanes, snow and rain, and more“Will 2026 be the hottest year ever?”
EntertainmentAwards, music, Rotten Tomatoes movie ratings, TV, video games and more“Top US Netflix show this week?”

That’s a lot of markets and sub-markets, right? Including many that aren’t always covered by other prediction platforms - like video games and Rotten Tomatoes movie ratings, for example.

I saw a mix of long and short-term contracts here, too. Day traders can buy and sell contracts tied to events like “BTC price at 5pm today?”, while those of you who prefer the long game can trade on events like “How low will oil (WTI) get by the end of the year?”. So, there are prediction contracts available to suit pretty much anybody - so long as you’re happy to shoulder the risks involved in trading.

I also found Plus500’s site to be pretty new trader-friendly in terms of offering clear explanations of how everything works and being easy to find your way around at the same time. Let me explain why.

Site usability - my Plus 500 review’s thoughts

Plus500’s main “Markets” page is nicely put together, with single-click buttons at the top of the page for “Pro Football”, “Science and Technology” and other popular trading categories, and a search bar that’ll help you quickly locate any niche and specific contracts you’re hunting for.

What’s more, when you first create your account, and sign up via the Plus 500 login page, I found you’ll be greeted by a handy how-to popup which clearly explains how prediction trading with the site works, why contracts are priced the way they are, and how to physically buy and sell positions.

If you have any further questions, there’s an FAQs tab that covers things like fees and withdrawal rules, too. While the site also offers a seldom seen “Free Demo” feature, where you can test-run a few trades before actually registering. This is a great way to get an idea of the risks involved in buying and selling here before actually funding your account.

Other standout site features include:

  • Color-coded contract buttons - with blue denoting “yes”, and purple used for all “no” buttons.
  • Real-time graphs - which are offered for each individual contract, documenting historic and real-time price shifts.
  • Auto-organized “Positions” and “Closed Positions” tabs - where you can keep track of your activity, filter your trades by date, and more.

Does Plus500 have a prediction trading app?

Yes - if you prefer trading from your smartphone or tablet, you can currently access Plus500’s prediction trading services via their iOS or Android app.

Both versions cover all the same markets as Plus500’s site. While I found that usability is just as good, too - the predictions tabs are basically just resized, squished down versions of what the website offers.

Promotions - what sorts of bonuses does Plus500 offer?

The current Plus 500 bonus for sign ups offers a “trade $10, get $20” across most of its eligible US states, which I found will credit you your bonus within seven days of meeting said $10 trading target. It’s a competitive offer, and there are no off-limits market restrictions listed at the time of writing.

Does Plus500 have a VIP program?

Nope, afraid not. At the time of writing, Plus500 doesn’t offer a tiered VIP program that US-based prediction traders can benefit from. And this is a huge shame, because I found that the wider Plus500 brand does offer loyalty incentives across some of its other services elsewhere in the world, such as in Europe and Singapore.

Nevertheless, there are other bonuses that US prediction traders can still enjoy here, like the welcome offer I mentioned above. While other one-off promos may crop up from time to time, too. Here’s what to look out for:

  • Refer a friend program - you can currently claim a $100-$300 bonus each time you refer a friend to Plus500 using your unique link.
  • Social media promos - Plus500 is pretty active on Instagram and X, so I’d suggest following them just in case they drop any single-use promo codes, or social media competitions anytime soon.

Customer support options - what to expect

Plus500 offers two direct contact options that are available 24/7 - online chat and email support. You’ll need to confirm your name and email address to activate the live chat, which is powered by an AI at first, but will connect you with a human within 1-3 minutes during most non-busy periods.

I wrote in asking about Plus 500 sweepstakes - which the team politely informed me that Plus500 does not currently cover. I also sent in a dummy email chasing for more information on any future bonus drops, and received a friendly reply within just a few hours. This is a competitive timeframe. To be fair. But I still think it’s a shame that prediction traders in the US can’t chase any loyalty perks or VIP rewards on the site.

Final thoughts - should you register with Plus 500?

Offering a pretty epic market coverage, a competitive sign up bonus and a cleanly-designed site and app that’s really simple to find your way around, there’s a lot I like about Plus500. It covers some unique event contract categories that are seldom seen among other similar sites, too - such as Rotten Tomatoes movie scores and extreme weather events. And Plus500’s fee structure always feels competitive and fair.

Having said that, it’s a shame that bonuses and perks are a bit limited on the site once you’ve used up your welcome bonus. While of course, trading prediction contracts here always carries risk, and won’t be a good fit for everybody.

Nevertheless, if you’d like to try out the site for yourself, you can do so using my banner links here. And in eligible states, you can unlock a “trade $10, get $20 bonus” on sign up, too. Check my banners and bonus review for more details about this special offer.

Plus500 review FAQ

What prediction markets does Plus500 cover?

I counted more than 15 different prediction markets. Sports, politics and elections all seem to be super popular. But you can also buy and sell yes and no contracts tied to climate, entertainment, science and technology and other interesting world events, too.

Is Plus500 legit?

Yes - their prediction trading platform is CFTC-registered, and available in most US states unless local site restrictions say otherwise. Plus500 also has a 4.2-star TrustPilot rating, solid write-ups on the App Store and Google Play, and an ongoing official partnership with the Chicago Bulls.

Does Plus500 have 24/7 customer support?

It does indeed. I found you can reach out to Plus500’s support team round the clock via either email, or their onsite and in-app live chat function. The latter usually offers the quickest replies, but you will need to talk to an AI briefly before you’ll get connected to somebody.
