What is Packed?
Packed is an iOS-only card rip app where you can open digital mystery packs containing real Pokémon, One Piece, basketball, and baseball cards. Packs are tiered, and prices start from $1 for a Basic Pack and go right up to $1,000 for a Grail Pack, which consists of uber-rare cards.
Half the fun of card break sites is that you won't know the exact card you'll pull, but you'll find details of the cards each pack contains, their estimated market prices, and your chances of pulling them across the different rarity levels. Cards are added to your inventory post-rip. You then have the choice to store it in your vault, sell it back to Packed for 100% of its fair market value, or have it shipped to your physical address.
What can you rip on Packed?
During my Packed review, I found a decent selection of card packs on the app, from sports cards to TCGs and everything in between. Packs are split into tiers from Basic to Bronze, Diamond, and Grail. You'll also find rarity levels like common, uncommon, rare, legendary, and mythic.
Here’s what you can rip on Packed right now:
Sports cards
Basketball and baseball cards take the top spot here. You can choose either of the two sports categories, and rare pulls include a 1992 Topps Michael Jordan Gold PSA 10 card.
Non-sport cards - Pokémon and One Piece
Packed features two non-sport categories: One Piece and Pokémon. Pokémon has six packs priced from $1 to $1,000, while One Piece has four packs ranging from $25 to $250. The app features a few pretty rare cards too, including an Aquapolis PSA 10 valued at $59,990 and a Neo Destiny PSA 10 valued at $25,999
What can you do with your cards after a rip?
You’ve got different options for what to do with your cards post-rip, and this holds true regardless of the type of card you pulled. Here are three options I found during this Packed review:
Store your cards in the vault
You've got the choice to keep your card vaulted for one day while deciding what to do with it. To be honest, I often keep my cards stored way longer, so one day wasn't quite what I expected. But it has its positives, since I could decide to sell faster instead of vaulting a card I wasn't sure I wanted for a long time.
You can store a maximum of 10 cards at once, and this card rip app may automatically sell them back and add the fair market value to your balance if you store your cards for more than a day.
Accept the 100% buyback offer
Not any sites offer a one hundred percent buyback at the fair market value for your pulls, and this added stars to my Packed ratings. Heads up, though. You've got 24 hours to accept the buyback option, and after this period, Packed may withdraw the offer.
Have the physical cards shipped to your address
If you love your card, you can have it shipped to your preferred address. You'll need to complete Know Your Customer (KYC) checks before you can request shipping, and shipping costs depend on your location. Sales tax may apply too.
Packed sign-up bonuses and other rewards
Card rip apps may not always offer extensive bonuses, but you should still find a decent range of Packed bonus offers to collect. Creating a new account at this card rip app can give you access to a reward, although what you'll receive may vary as the brand often swaps out its promotions. You could spot the current welcome bonus on the banners around this page. Just click on it, complete the short steps, and claim your rewards.
Referral rewards
With everything from Pokémon and One Piece to basketball and baseball cards, Packed has several categories to interest collectors, so you can share your unique referral link with friends who may be curious about trying out card rip apps. If your friend signs up using your link or code, you'll receive commission on every pack your referred friend opens for 90 days. The rates range from 0.50% to 2.50%, and it's a superb way to collect more funds for your purchases.
Packed Bonus Offers:
High Packed ratings for its app usability
The Packed website is more like an information hub where you get details on what the brand is about and how it works. The main ripping happens in-app, and it passes the vibe test in my opinion.
You'll find tabs that give you quick access to your packs, vault, rewards, and profile. Each pack has details such as its price, possible cards and their value range, and your chances of pulling cards across the different rarity levels. But there's still a bit of suspense since you won't know the exact cards you'll pull. You can also check recent big pulls from other collectors, sell your cards, request shipping, and access your rewards from anywhere and at any time.
The only bummer is that the Packed app is only available on iOS devices right now, and you need iOS 15 at least. The app is quite good for on-the-go ripping. It has a 4.5 rating from 2,400+ reviews on the App Store.
Packed customer support is easy to reach
It’s easy to get help on Packed if you run into any issues. There's a 24/7 live chat feature that can be accessed from your profile section. You could also browse through the FAQs, as it has articles on a wide variety of topics covering everything from withdrawals to identity verification and shipping.
I've used the live chat extensively, even before putting together this Packed review, and it's the most reliable option in my experience. You’re first connected to a bot, but you can request to be transferred to a human agent. The Packed support team has consistently provided helpful responses and fast resolutions every time I've reached out. There’s an email option too if you can’t access the app.
Packed review of its payment options
Purchasing cards is easy, and I can make payments using cards like Visa and Mastercard, Apple Pay, and bank transfers. You just have to choose the pack you want to open, then make your payment using any of the available options. Deposits are near-instant too.
Are withdrawals available at Packed?
One of the highlights of my Packed review is the option to withdraw your buyback funds. Some card rip sites award these as credits that can only be used to purchase more packs. Thankfully, Packed doesn't do that, and you can withdraw your funds via debit card, bank account, PayPal, Venmo, and Cash App. Do note that deposited funds can't be withdrawn at all. You can only access money received from selling cards in your inventory.
The minimum withdrawal is $10, and you must be verified before your request will be processed. It's nothing difficult. Just submit a government-issued ID, take a selfie, and allow the app to access your location. Instant withdrawals come through in around 10 minutes, while bank transfers can take up to two business days. Collectors are limited to a maximum of three withdrawals within a rolling 24-hour period, with up to $5,000 allowed for each.
Is Packed legit and safe?
All the details I found point to Packed being a trustworthy app. It’s owned and operated by PlayPacked, Inc., a company registered in Delaware.
The app is encrypted to help prevent unauthorized access to your personal and payment details. You’ll also have to complete KYC verification before making withdrawals or shipping your pulls.
Do remember that card ripping comes with risks of its own, as you could pull a card that's lower in value than the amount you spent on purchasing the pack. On the plus side, Packed gives you the option to sell your pull back for 100% of its fair market value, and you could take advantage of this offer if you like.
Conclusion: Packed delivers a solid card-ripping experience
Packed has a lot going for it, and can be your go-to app if you love sports, One Piece, and Pokémon cards, including uber-rare finds. You'll always find details on the different pack levels, possible pulls, estimated market values, and their pull percentages upfront.
You've also got the flexibility to keep your card in the Vault, sell it back for 100% of its fair market value, or have it shipped to your address. The only bummer is that Packed is only available on iOS devices right now.
If you've been searching for a card rip app, Packed ticks plenty of the right boxes. You can use the banners on this page to visit the site and check its offerings for yourself.
