Crypto.com's mobile app is the primary way most US users access its prediction markets. With over 320,000 App Store reviews averaging 4.7 stars and more than 680,000 Google Play reviews at 4.4 stars, it has one of the largest and most consistent rating profiles of any prediction market platform. This review focuses specifically on the prediction markets experience: how the Predict tab is organized, how trading works on a phone, how the app handles live markets, and where the experience has room to improve.

This is not a review of the full Crypto.com exchange app, which covers crypto trading, the Visa card, staking, and dozens of other financial services. The focus here is what it is like to discover, research, and trade binary event contracts on a mobile device.

Downloading the Crypto.com App

The Crypto.com app is available on both iOS and Android. The steps are almost identical on each platform and the whole process takes under a minute. Note that the app cannot be downloaded or used in New York or Arizona — residents of those states are fully blocked from the platform. If you are in any of the other 48 US states, follow the steps below.

  1. Find the app: On iPhone, open the App Store and search "Crypto.com." On Android, open Google Play and search the same. You can also tap the download buttons on the official Crypto.com website to go directly to the correct listing.
  2. Check the developer name: The correct listing shows "Foris DAX Inc." as the developer. This confirms you are downloading the official app rather than a third-party imitation.
  3. Tap Get or Install: On iOS, tap Get and authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID password. On Android, tap Install. The download is modest in size and completes in seconds on most connections.
  4. Open the app and tap Sign Up: The app opens to the home screen. Tap Sign Up to begin account creation, or Log In if you already have a Crypto.com account.
  5. Allow permissions when prompted: The app will ask for camera access (needed for ID verification during account setup) and notifications (recommended so you get resolution alerts). Location access is optional and can be declined.

The iOS version is iPhone-only — there is no iPad app at present. The Android version works on phones, Chromebooks, and tablets, though the phone version draws the strongest user reviews.

Setting Up a Crypto.com Account on Mobile

Account creation takes five to ten minutes if your ID is nearby. Most users pass the automated KYC check instantly. Manual review is possible but uncommon, and takes up to three business days.

  1. Download and open the app: Tap Sign Up on the home screen.
  2. Enter your email and phone number: Verify both with confirmation codes.
  3. Create a six-digit passcode: This is required alongside any biometric authentication you set up later.
  4. Complete KYC: Submit a government-issued ID photo and a selfie. The automated check runs in seconds for most users.
  5. Save your security phrase: The app generates a backup phrase during setup. Write it down — it is your recovery method if you lose device access.
  6. Enable 2FA: Not mandatory during setup, but strongly recommended. Withdrawals require 2FA verification, so setting it up now avoids friction later.
  7. Head to the Predict tab: Once verified, the app opens to the main dashboard. Prediction markets are not the default view — tap Predict in the bottom navigation bar to get there.

The Predict tab sits in the main bottom navigation bar, to the right of Markets, Crypto, and Stocks. Tapping it shifts you into a visually distinct environment — different color scheme, card layout, and interface conventions from the exchange side of the app. The separation is a good design decision: prediction contracts and spot crypto trades are different enough that keeping them apart prevents confusion.

Inside the Predict tab, the layout looks like this:

  • Category filter bar: Horizontal scroll at the top covering All, Sports, Politics, Economics, Financials, Crypto, Climate, and Culture.
  • Market cards: Each card shows the question, Yes/No prices, implied probability, time to close, and a volume indicator. Trending markets appear near the top; markets closing soon are flagged with a countdown timer.
  • Individual market page: Tapping a card opens the full market view with the question, resolution criteria, live price chart, order book depth, and volume data.

The live price chart on each market page is one of the app's better features. Instead of showing only the current price, it displays how the contract has traded over its full life — useful for seeing how probability shifted after an injury report, a polling update, or a Fed statement. Our guide on how prediction market contracts work explains what those price movements actually mean.

Browsing Markets on the Crypto.com App

The card-based browse layout works well for one-handed scrolling. Tapping a card is fast, with no visible load time on a standard connection. Within each market category, you can sort and filter in several ways:

Sports

NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, college football, college basketball, soccer (EPL, UCL, La Liga, MLS, FIFA World Cup), UFC, golf, tennis, WNBA, F1, and esports are all available. Markets cover game winners, series outcomes, championship futures, and player milestones. Note that sports contracts are restricted in several states beyond NY and AZ — see our prediction markets legality guide for the current state-by-state picture.

Politics and elections

US federal elections, Senate and House control, gubernatorial races, and international election markets. Political markets typically see the deepest order books and tightest spreads, particularly in the weeks before major votes.

Economics and financials

Federal Reserve rate decisions, monthly jobs reports, CPI prints, GDP figures, and stock price milestone contracts. These markets move quickly around official data releases. Financials covers individual company milestones and equity-related events.

Crypto

Bitcoin and Ethereum price threshold contracts, ETF approval markets, and other digital-asset event contracts. On the main exchange side of the app, you can also trade spot crypto, but the Predict tab keeps crypto event contracts separate.

Climate and culture

Climate markets cover temperature records, hurricane season activity, and weather data for specific US cities. Culture covers award shows, box office rankings, streaming charts, and social media milestones. Culture was still expanding at time of writing.

How to Place a Trade on the Crypto.com App

From a market page, placing a trade takes four taps.

  1. Tap Yes or No: Choose the outcome you want to trade on.
  2. Enter your size: Type the number of contracts or a dollar amount. The app converts between the two automatically.
  3. Select contract size ($1 or $10): $1 contracts price between $0.01 and $0.99, settling at $1. $10 contracts price between $0.10 and $9.90, settling at $10. The exchange fee ($0.02 per $1 contract, $0.20 per $10 contract) is shown at this stage.
  4. Review and confirm: The confirmation screen shows your total cost, the fee, and your potential payout if correct. Confirm to submit.

For traders who want more control over execution, tap Advanced before confirming to switch to a limit order. A limit order lets you name your price — the order sits on the book until another trader matches it, rather than filling immediately at whatever is available. Limit orders carry a lower fee than market orders on Crypto.com and are the better default for thin markets where the spread is wide.

Once confirmed, the trade appears immediately in your portfolio. Each position card shows entry price, current price, unrealized gain or loss, and a quick-sell button that opens the exit flow in two taps without navigating back to the market page.

Live and In-Play Trading on the Crypto.com App

Many sports and other markets stay open during the event itself, with prices updating in real time as the action unfolds. This is one of the Crypto.com app's stronger features for active traders. Rather than waiting for final resolution to find out if you were right, you can watch probability shift in real time and decide whether to hold your position, take profit early, or cut a loss before the outcome is decided. A team going up by two scores mid-game will push their Yes contract sharply higher within seconds of the play; an unexpected red card in a soccer match reprices both sides almost instantly.

The in-play experience works particularly well on mobile because the key actions — monitoring, exiting — are right in the portfolio view without needing to navigate back through the browse interface. Key features in the in-play experience:

  • Live price chart: The price chart on each in-play market becomes a real-time feed of shifting probability, updated continuously as the event progresses.
  • Quick-sell button: Every open position in the portfolio view has a quick-sell button. Exit in two taps without navigating back to the market page.
  • Live timer on market cards: In-play markets display a countdown on the card so you can see how much time remains before the market closes or the event ends.
  • Price movement during order entry: Prices can shift a cent or two while you are filling in the order screen during fast-moving moments. This is normal for any live order book. Using limit orders during volatile in-play windows gives you a price ceiling and avoids an unexpected fill.

Crypto.com App Notifications and Price Alerts

The app supports the following push notifications out of the box:

  • Market resolution — tells you whether a contract resolved Yes or No and the payout amount
  • Trade confirmation — sent when an order is executed
  • Promotional events — new offers and bonus opportunities

What is not currently available is a native price alert at the contract level. You cannot set a trigger like "notify me when the Yes price on this contract reaches $0.65." For traders monitoring a specific contract for a favorable entry, the practical workaround is placing a limit order at your target price — it will fill when the market reaches that level, which functions as an alert with automatic execution. This is a gap worth knowing about before the app becomes your primary trading environment.

Managing Your Portfolio in the Crypto.com App

The Portfolio view in the Predict tab gives you a full picture of open and closed positions.

Open positions

Each open position displays the market question, your entry price, number of contracts, current market price, and unrealized profit or loss in dollar terms. A quick-sell button is available on every card. You can sort open positions by market, by profit or loss, or by expiration date. The expiration sort is useful when you hold a mix of short-term game-day markets and long-dated futures.

Closed trade history

Closed trades show the full record: entry price, exit or settlement price, and net gain or loss including fees. Filter by date range or category to review a specific period. The "trade again" shortcut on resolved position cards is a time-saver for recurring markets like weekly game winners or monthly economic data releases — it links directly to the new contract period if one is open.

Analytics

There is no built-in win rate calculator or performance chart. The raw transaction history is all there, but you would need to export or track it manually if you want deeper analysis. This is an area where the app has room to grow.

Deposits and Withdrawals in the Crypto.com App

Before trading, you need to fund the Cash account inside the app. This is the balance your prediction market trades draw from.

Method Crypto.com fee Speed Notes
ACH bank transfer Free Standard Most common; link bank via Plaid
Wire transfer Free Same day Bank may charge outgoing wire fee
Apple Pay Free Instant Shown in-app on iOS
Google Pay Free Instant Shown in-app on Android
Debit card % fee (shown before confirmation) Instant Fee displayed before you confirm
PayPal % fee (shown before confirmation) Instant Fee displayed before you confirm
Cryptocurrency Free Minutes 400+ coins; network gas fees apply on sending side

Withdrawals go via ACH bank transfer. You convert your balance to USD inside the app, link your bank via Plaid, and request the transfer. The 24-hour security hold on newly whitelisted addresses only applies the first time you add a bank account. After that, withdrawals typically process within minutes to two to three hours. Crypto.com does not charge a withdrawal fee — your bank may charge a receiving fee on their end.

OG: Crypto.com's Standalone Prediction Trading App

In February 2026, Crypto.com launched OG as a separate app specifically for prediction markets. It runs on the same CDNA exchange infrastructure as the main app, so markets, prices, and balances are the same — but the interface is built around prediction trading only, without the exchange, Visa card, or staking features surrounding it.

OG is worth downloading if you find the main Crypto.com app's full-ecosystem layout distracting. The two apps are complementary rather than alternatives: use the main app if you want the full Crypto.com financial product suite alongside prediction markets, and use OG if prediction markets are your primary focus and you prefer a cleaner interface.

Crypto.com App Security Features

Crypto.com is a CFTC-regulated platform holding a Designated Contract Market license, which comes with mandatory requirements around fund protection and operational safeguards. Beyond the regulatory baseline, the app layers in several practical security measures worth knowing before you deposit. The table below covers each one and what it does for you as a user.

Feature What it does
Two-factor authentication (2FA) Required for withdrawals, adding wallet addresses, and account setting changes. Even if someone has your password, they cannot move funds without your 2FA code.
Biometric login Face ID and fingerprint supported on both iOS and Android. Used for day-to-day login without needing to enter a password each time.
Six-digit passcode Required as a fallback to biometrics. Set during account creation and used when biometric authentication is unavailable.
Security phrase Generated during setup as a recovery method if you lose device access. Store it somewhere offline — it is the only way to recover your account without your original device.
Communication verification tool A Verify link in the app footer lets you check whether any email, SMS, or in-app message claiming to be from Crypto.com is genuine. Practical anti-phishing measure that most financial apps do not offer.
Proof of Reserves Independently verified by Mazars Group, confirming that user balances are backed by actual assets held on the platform. Published regularly.
Segregated funds Prediction market balances are held under CFTC-mandated segregation rules, separate from Crypto.com's operational accounts. If the company runs into financial difficulty, your trading balance cannot be used to cover it.
Withdrawal address whitelisting Before withdrawing to a new address for the first time, a 24-hour security hold applies. This protects against unauthorized withdrawals if your account is accessed without permission.

Where the Crypto.com App Could Improve

No review is complete without a candid look at the gaps.

  • Navigation for prediction-only users: The Predict tab is one of five main sections in a full financial super-app. Users who came exclusively for prediction markets have to navigate past the exchange home screen every time. A user preference to set Predict as the default tab would solve this.
  • No native price alerts: The most-requested missing feature. Setting a notification for when a specific contract crosses a target price would meaningfully improve the experience for traders monitoring longer-dated positions.
  • Order book depth on small screens: The order book view is functional but compact on a phone. Analyzing multiple price levels before a large trade is more comfortable on the desktop web interface.
  • No cross-market comparison: Comparing implied probabilities across related markets — team winning a game versus winning the series versus winning the championship — requires navigating between pages manually.
  • No built-in analytics: Win rate, average return per trade, and performance over time are not surfaced in the app. The raw transaction history is there but requires manual analysis.

Crypto.com App Ratings and User Feedback

Platform Rating Reviews Common praise Common criticism
iOS App Store 4.7 / 5 320,000+ Intuitive UI, fast execution, clean design Support wait times during high-volume periods
Google Play 4.4 / 5 680,000+ Smooth performance, easy to navigate Occasional login issues after app updates

The review volume is worth noting. Most prediction market apps have a few thousand reviews. Crypto.com's count reflects the full exchange user base rather than prediction market traders specifically, but a 4.7 at 320,000 reviews is a more reliable signal than a 4.9 at 2,000.

The Bottom Line on the Crypto.com App

The Crypto.com app delivers a polished, fast prediction market experience on mobile. The Predict tab is clearly organized, the in-play trading flow is genuinely quick, and the portfolio tools are solid for tracking open and closed positions. The dual $1 and $10 contract format and the proper limit order interface on mobile both stand out compared to most competitors. The main friction points are structural: prediction markets share space with a full financial ecosystem, there are no native price alerts, and the order book is better on desktop for larger trades.

Crypto.com App FAQ

Is the Crypto.com app available on iOS and Android?

Yes. The iOS app is available from the App Store with a 4.7-star rating across 320,000+ reviews. The Android app is on Google Play with a 4.4-star rating across 680,000+ reviews. The iOS version is iPhone-only. The Android version supports phones, Chromebooks, and tablets.

Where do I find prediction markets in the Crypto.com app?

Tap the Predict tab in the main bottom navigation bar, to the right of Markets, Crypto, and Stocks. Prediction markets are in a visually separate section from the exchange and crypto trading parts of the app.

Can I use the Crypto.com app for prediction markets in all US states?

No. The app cannot be downloaded or used in New York or Arizona. Sports contracts are also restricted in several additional states including Nevada, Michigan, Maryland, and Massachusetts. Sports access was restored in New Jersey, Ohio, and Illinois following federal court rulings in April 2026.

Does the Crypto.com app support limit orders for prediction markets?

Yes. Tap Advanced on the order entry screen to toggle to a limit order and set your target price. Limit orders rest on the book and fill when another trader matches your price. They carry a lower fee than market orders.

Can I trade live in-play sports markets on the Crypto.com app?

Yes. Many sports markets stay open during the event with real-time price updates. The portfolio view includes a quick-sell button that lets you exit a position in two taps.

How do I deposit money into the Crypto.com prediction market app?

Open the Cash account section and tap Add Cash. ACH, wire, Apple Pay, and Google Pay are free. Debit card and PayPal carry a percentage fee shown before confirmation. Crypto deposits are also supported with 400+ coins accepted.

What is the OG app and how does it relate to Crypto.com?

OG is a standalone prediction trading app launched by Crypto.com in February 2026. It uses the same CDNA exchange infrastructure, so markets and prices are identical to those in the main app, but the interface is built purely around prediction markets without the broader financial services.

Does the Crypto.com app have price alerts for prediction market contracts?

No native price alerts exist. The app sends push notifications when contracts settle and when trades execute, but there is no way to set a trigger for a specific price level. Using a limit order at your target price is the practical workaround.

How is the Crypto.com app different from Kalshi's app?

Both support browsing, trading, and portfolio management on mobile. Crypto.com's app is part of a broader financial ecosystem with the exchange, Visa card, and staking also present. Kalshi's app is dedicated entirely to prediction markets. Crypto.com uniquely offers both $1 and $10 contract sizes. Both support limit orders on mobile.
