Bonus offer – Not worth the hassle

We found a terrible welcome bonus at Casino Alpha. The majority of online casino and sportsbook operations offer a welcome bonus to attract new customers to their sites. There are exceptions, as our Dafabet promo code review revealed. However, our Casino Alpha review tracked down their welcome offer, which is an offer we would avoid.

The bonus you receive will depend on the amount of your initial deposit with Casino Alpha, which must be a fairly high minimum of €20 and breaks down as follows:

  • Deposit €20 to €49 = 200% + 25 free spins
  • Deposit €50 to €99 = 200% + 30 free spins
  • Deposit €100 to €199 = 200% + 50 free spins
  • Deposit €200 to €249 = 250% + 100 free spins
  • Deposit €250 to €2000 = 300% + 150 free spins

As you can see, the more you deposit, the greater the bonus allegedly becomes. However, before you get too carried away, you need to take into account that this could be focus of the negative reviews online.

All bonuses have conditions attached to them and you must read them, or risk forfeiting your bonus and any winnings you made from it. These wagering conditions are beyond what could be considered reasonable. After opening your Alpha Casino account and making your first deposit, you must activate your bonus within 24 hours either by phone or by email. The bonus cannot be activated any other way.

If you’re patient enough to jump through all of those hoops, the bonus and any winnings are subject to a 40x playthrough requirement and you have seven days to achieve this. Only InBet slots games are eligible. No other bonuses can be used whilst the bonus is in play and you cannot make any withdrawals – as you can see there are better places to get a bonus than this blacklisted site.

Usability, look & feel – Badly put together and glitchy

Want to see how Casino Alpha suck at website design? First of all, our Casino Alpha review revealed that there are two very different aspects to the website, depending on whether you head for casino games or the sports betting part. Neither of them make the grade but we’ll walk you through them separately so you don’t get taken in.

Badly designed casino

The casino of the website does not have a theme as yet, so the games are viewed from a boring plain white background. This is something that’s always different for every casino: some are minimalist while others go all out. For example, our Pots of Luck ratings were high, based on the overall theming, much better than the drab Casino Alpha site.

On top of everything else we found, we also discovered several issues with the navigation side of things. There is no top menu bar, Casino Alpha having opted for a pop-out sidebar instead, which would be fine except that none of the options have been activated. This makes it quite difficult to navigate around the site at all.

There are some further menu options right at the bottom of the page, but they are not at all intuitive and again, some do not work. There are significant shortcomings here as you can see.

Confusing sportsbook

The sportsbook is equally as troublesome to use. Everything seems to be laid out in the worst way possible, which makes it a nightmare to find the sports you want to bet on. This should be the easiest thing to use but in reality, it is a painstaking process. The sportsbook falls short just as much as the casino and in general, the user interface is in dire need of a revamp. Not that anyone should sign up, though.

Payments - limited payment method options

Our Casino Alpha review found that there were a handful of payment options available, but you simply can’t trust this site with your money. All of these are available for making deposits and some can also be used to withdraw your winnings if Casino Alpha ever bothered to pay out.

  • Visa credit and debit
  • Electron
  • MasterCard credit and debit
  • Mobile Payments
  • Bank Transfer
  • Neteller
  • Skrill
  • Perfect Money
  • Payeer
  • Piastrix
  • Various country-specific eWallets

But after that, there’s bad news and then more bad news. Although we found a guide to how various payment methods work in the Casino Alpha FAQ section, there were no details available referring to minimum/maximum amounts, withdrawal times or if fees are applied. This is just one of the reasons you should avoid opening an account with this operator.  Simply put, avoid Casino Alpha!

Customer service – Not even at the races

This part of our Alpha Casino review found that there is a webform available for creating an instant customer support ticket. This is only suitable for brief enquiries as there is a character limit applied to messages – very convenient for a scam site like Casino Alpha. You can access this feature by clicking on the envelope icon found at the bottom left of each page.

There is also a dedicated ‘support’ email address you can use if you prefer. It is not made clear the hours that support staff are available to answer your queries, or which languages are offered. It’s also disappointing that there is no phone number or live chat option. If you’re thinking this all seems a bit flimsy and looks like the bare minimum, then you’d be right – and causes yet another alarm bell to go off that something (or everything) here is not quite right.

License & security – Is Casino Alpha legit? No!

Now we move swiftly on to the biggest bit of bad news. It’s a question we always ask about every operator we review. As you will soon see, Casino Alpha is one to avoid, so why not take a look at our other gambling reviews to see more suitable operators?

Our Alpha Casino review revealed that this site is owned and operated by LA Entertainment, which is a Cypriot company. Under the LA Entertainment umbrella, licensing for Alpha Casino only comes from the government of Curacao, which when lined up with all of the red flags so far, puts this one firmly in the ‘do not touch’ pile. Curacao licensing is not the hardest to get, and gives a lot of latitude to the operator. This is fine if the operator is above board and legit – however, this is not the case here. In fact, the Casino Alpha bookmaker is operating as an offshore betting site outside of the US. This means that no official gambling authority in the US regulates it. And that, my friends, is why we have put them on our blacklist.

There are also a large number of negative reviews and reports regarding Casino Alpha, which, even given the fickle nature of most online gambling user reviews, is a further warning sign – if one were needed.

Rewards & loyalty program – Nothing on offer as yet

Our Casino Alpha review was unable to find any type of rewards system or points-based loyalty program on offer. Considering all of the other areas where this operator has come up short, this is no surprise. As a much better alternative, it’s well worth taking a look at our Genting Bet review, where you’ll find there’s a very exciting reward scheme at a site that’s a whole lot more trustworthy than Casino Alpha.

Software - no reason to play at Casino Alpha

Don’t expect any quality game developers at Casino Alpha. InBet, Thunderspin, Playson, Evolution, Revolver, PlayTech and Spinomenal are all unavailable because official game developers won’t issue games to illegal gambling sites like Casino Alpha.

You will find that the major game provider is InBet. It’s also worth noting that the majority of Casino Alpha’s bonuses and promos can only be claimed when playing InBet slots games. Performance and quality does vary quite a bit between bleak and barren when playing these games. Slots games in particular are quite slow to load and some did not load at all when we completed our tests.

Game portfolio - disappointing selection of games

Alpha Casino is very much slots-orientated, with endless equally lame slots games available, covering many different weird themes and genres. You will find all of the old favorites missing from the line up, which is a real shocker considering that most slot fans want the classics to be available.

Majorly disappointing was the fact that there are only eight standard table games on offer: three poker, one roulette, one blackjack, one sic bo and two baccarat. There was also very limited availability of other popular themes such as quiz-style games and scratchcards. All of which means that you should avoid Casino Alpha.

Live casino - don't be fooled

There is a half-hearted emphasis on live casino games, with over 100 on offer in total and you’ll find around 30 different games available to join at any given time. Unfortunately all of these live casino games are of a poor standard. These are mostly roulette, blackjack or baccarat, but there are also a few different types of poker and some TV quiz style games to play as well.

While there were a handful of options, none of them loaded quickly and all of the software seemed to only make the gaming experience worse. It just felt like a patch job that was designed to do the absolute minimal amount to have a functioning live casino for players to use. So don’t come to Casino Alpha for live casino gaming.

Limits - deceptive lack of information

As mentioned above, this information is not readily available when opening a game. We also checked the Casino Alpha terms and conditions thoroughly, but were unable to find further information on this subject. All of which makes us think that Casino Alpha has something to hide, so we’d recommend avoiding this site.

Product summary - a casino that can't be trusted

Casino Alpha simply isn’t good enough. Whether or not you found games that you like on the site, it really doesn’t matter. The operator is far from trustworthy and the casino itself is far from enjoyable. With very limited games and software developers who are subpar, we highly recommend that you look elsewhere for your online casino experience.

Casino Alpha review FAQ

💰 Does Casino Alpha have a good bonus?

What makes a ‘good’ bonus depends on many things and not just the value of it. Why not take a look at our extensive Betting.net casino reviews section? There you can read all about Casino Alpha and compare it with lots of other similar deals that you can find at legit casino sites.

🉑 Which payment methods can I use for online casinos?

This varies from casino to casino. If you go to Betting.net, you’ll see guides to different payment methods and it’s also something we cover in our gambling reviews section.

🎰 Which slot pays out the best?

If we knew the answer to that we’d be playing it ourselves! What we do know is that you’re more likely to be successful if you play slots that you enjoy and suit your personality rather than just chasing the big bucks. We’ve got plenty of handy slots guides and lists of casinos with free spins so you can try a few out and find your favorite. Our biggest piece of advice is simply to avoid offshore casinos like Casino Alpha.

Overall conclusion – Steer clear of Casino Alpha

As we mentioned right at the start of our Casino Alpha review, this was one to avoid, and having seen our report, you can easily understand why. We have carried out many reviews and know which warning signs to look for – and here we saw every single one of them. If we have to pick one out that is the most important, its the fact Casino Alpha operate outside the US as an illegal offshore betting site. With no US regulation, this is a site you should avoid at all costs.

If you were to read our William Hill review, you’d see that it paints an entirely different picture. When you compare that operation to this one, you’ll see exactly what we mean. Just go anywhere else than Casino Alpha.
